Optimization? Ryzen 5600x 3070 32 gb 60 fps lock. Fps drops to 30-40.

What's wrong with this game? Where is the optimization? How can I close breaches / delerium with such fps drops? Or should I buy a $5k computer to play a game whose recommended requirements are significantly weaker than my current config? I play at almost the lowest settings and if I increase the settings, fps does not increase, everything remains in exactly the same state, only the video card heats up more. Or maybe i have some pc trouble here? But im playing with no fps drops at ultra(without RT) settings this games : Hogwarts(very bad optimization btw)/ Cyberpunk/ RDR 2/ Plague/ Control / Horizon/ Last of us and etc... Maybe smbd have same issues? All latest drivers, win 11, etc. everething is ok, playing other games and have no pain like this. Just tell me, why GGG nerfes builds first, and no work with such important thing as: playability ? Last bumped on Jan 8, 2025, 12:06:06 PM

5800X3D and 4060 running at 1080p with DLSS and I drop to 30-40 fps sometimes too with everything but textures on low.
When I play with my 1 or 2 of my friends I sometimes drop in the 20-30fps range. The game runs stable at 144fps with adaptive sync, but depending on the content it can become very unplayable. The game definitely needs some optimization, I would love to know what kind of systems GGG used to test this game out before releasing or if they think 30fps is acceptable without high end systems. |

" I think they didnt tested this... they released it to EA too fast. And cuz of that we have a tons of bugs / disbalanced features and etc. I just cant play normally, this fps drops are making me mad and i want to delete this game. Mb i buy 4070 super and check it on 2k res soon.. I hope this will help. |

" But this is why they need EA, to properly test it. They wouldn't find most of the bugs and disbalanced features just by themselves. |
|
" True, but relating to performance issues, it would be obvious though unless they are using high end machines only to test the game, which I highly doubt as that would be stupid. My friend with a 7800x3d and a 3080 barely maintains 60 fps in party play with us, forget about high refresh rate gameplay. Just horrendous performance, but if you have played PoE1 for years, this is expected from GGG. |
|
" 60fps? party play? what do you expect here? i'm not even joking here, this is extremely good compared to my poe1 experience that being said i wonder if console party players get their frames in the mail |
|
Party play is only 3 of us, I suspect it would be unplayable for all of us with 5-6 people. Our CPU's are 7600x, 5800x3d, 7800x3d. I have the weakest GPU with a 4060 and I struggle to maintain above 40fps in map content even with dlss set to ultra performance.
Another thing I have noticed, it doesn't matter what resolution I run the game at, I tried to run it at around 720p at it made no difference whatsoever to my fps during gameplay. |
|
" Maybe it's because that rescaling feature? Dynamic resolution or something l. Like, during gameplay it switches to the low res texture anyway. Last edited by Suchka_777#4336 on Dec 30, 2024, 1:21:16 AM

" Yep, but let me play stable :D and i will report all bugs and test all endgame content, i just dont want to play with such perfomance, i want to delete this and play poe2 in next year |
|
" Im guessing you tried the standard PC gaming troubleshooting? Changing & optimizing settings in windows, nvidia and update drivers etc. For me, changing to Vulkan helped a lot. Im playing on a 4070/ryzen laptop capped to 100fps, im dipping to around 60-70 fps on breaches which is fine imo. You are never better than your last achievement.
