dont bother trying to snipe items listed too cheap, if it's been up a while they usually respond. And certain items are price fixed too, know how to recognize that and click ignore on the seller and you won't see that anymore.

Sadly it's not only items that are too cheap and people try to snipe.
I wanted to buy a unique that was worth 1 divine with any roll up to 50% of what it can roll then it was 2 divine. Only these 2 prices exist. I have whispered like 40 people and no one even answered. They didn't care about getting a divine. Then I was trying to buy a ring and I already skipped all low cost rings and wanted to get a higher one so I get answers. Looked for rings that where 10%ish above the average price. After about 50 whispers I gave up. Looked for any and got a ring that was a bit worse but only payed 1/10th of the price. It's just so dumb. But same problem as a seller. I got like 30 whispers for items and I sold exactly ONE item. Because players just spam 5 pages of items then tab into the game and take any partyinvite that's incoming because they are mad to have a gazillion of people not replying which in the end makes me mad because I have barely any money because no one buys in the end from me because my invite wasn't the one on screen when they where done spamming 100 people. Trading was and will always be one of the absolute worst parts of path of exile unless they finally give in to what players beg for a DECADE. At least we can now insta buy currency and that already helps a lot but they absolutely need to add EVERY item to that TwitchTV: http://www.twitch.tv/akumanotsubasa

In poe 1 with less online, trading is more lively than in poe 2 with 4-5 times more online, it's nonsense.

I don't remember trade so bad since 2012. It's awful now.
PoE need forced SSF ( and 9000 % better drops ) or AH for trade NOW. | |

" If trading on the AH costs gold and requires a certain level, it becomes very hard for bots. It also becomes pretty much impossible to flip items which is most of what a bot does. Oh a bot can farm gold some say, well while farming it makes them easier to detect. Also while farming they aren't abusing the trade system. GGG could also design the UI to be hard for a bot to utilize. GGG could also scale gold costs with ilvl of the gear. It isn't hard to clamp down on bots when you have a separate currency that can't be traded required to trade and only earned via gameplay. |
