From 580k to 390k drop after two weeks.

PoE1 is in maintenance mode and a significant number of those players that would jump on a new league for a few weeks are likely not coming back. Hope for GGG sake that the newbies can pickup the $lack, but that is very doubtful.

Not going back unless wasd is in tbh. Fuck click to move, im spoiled now.

Yes, some people prefer twin-stick shooters.

I guess devs played "The Ascent" and liked it better.

Match made in heaven I guess.
POE 2 is a twin-stick shooter.
POE 1 endgame and item crafting alleviated a lot of D2 issues.
D2 farming is still GOATED and probably the most zen experience out there.

Isn't this just a cosmetic difference? I don't get the hate for WASD. It lets me move very precisely because the movement is based on time.

When I let go of the button, that's where I stop. I can make extremely tiny adjustments to my position by tapping. It's precise.

In click to move, you are running around with 35% movespeed and quicksilver (this means the screen is moving FAST) and you click some pixel on the screen, maybe between 2 Exarch balls you must dodge. Where do you stop? Where will your hitbox be? Are you sure you won't be hit? You have no idea because the faster the screen moves the more precise your click has to be both in position and timing.

You ever try to make tiny adjustments to where your character is standing in poe1? You click near her feet, she doesn't move, because you misjudged where the hitbox was, turns out she was already too close to that spot and she won't move.

It's not even getting into aiming and moving at the same time.
I know I am personally back on D4 and loving it. Feels nice when a game isnt actively trying to waste my time.
May 15th 2012 - The day the king of ARPGs died. January 23rd 2013 - A new king takes the throne.
Early Access!!! it has not been released and is 50% done.
Most of these "players" are bots.
same, I am one of those who stopped after 173 hours of play. The game as it is in view of the builds that I have always played on POE1 (minion) is uninteresting for me.

Lack of diversity, no convocation gem, the minions die off-screen instead of this tp on us, they body block each other and make the minions useless or even limit their dps, those behind do not even send a projectile being blocked by the line in front, no gem raise specter which would allow to create diversity, the nerfs have no logic certain minions are nerfed while they are just Tier B I would say while other builds ultra perform and are not affected.

As for the end game (after t15) I don't find it interesting as it is, let me explain: I don't like the atlas system that forces us to kill bosses related to Ritual, Breach etc. in order to get points to specialize in the mechanic in question that interests us, it's just long and boring or too expensive if we buy directly due to their rarity, the atlas tree itself is just as uninteresting, too small, not enough possibilities, at a glance we see what is good or not.

there are dozens of other points that make the game boring, bland compared to POE1, for example why limit passive gems to 1 use? why completely prevent equipping certain passive gems on certain skills?

the ascendances are too hard I had to try hard for too long to get the 7th and 8th points, finally acquired but it was simply too hard, much more than the pinnacle bosses for example for comparison, some players will never get there and it's not normal like that.

I'm probably forgetting many other points, but as it is the game is boring in my personal opinion. ah I forgot the main point it's fucking slow, it makes farming annoying when it's 90% of the game, farming again and again.
tp gems like blink for example cost too much in spirit and have a 4 sec CD, why? why simply want to slow us down?

In short I waited for POE 2 for many years, I only ask to love it but I can't do it at the moment, waiting to see their decision in the future.

Bye.

PS: sorry for my horrible English
