I don't play Poe anymore but in Poe 2 I would never play that option, I love playing with mouse click.

Nah, too many mechanics based on point and click would be removed and it would be Path of Exile anymore like PoE2 isn't.

The absence of WASD is the only think which holds me away from the game. At least if the joystick controller is more flexible, like that on in DI&D4, that will compensate the absence of WASD. The flexability for which i talk is that when i want to use some NPC i cant do it directly via the joystick, but i need to use the mouse. This is annoying because you might want to lie back in your armchair and play your favorite game on your TV. Even if you're not in an armchair, but simply have your feet up on your desk and chillin, the need to use the mouse at a certain point interferes with the full experience.

WASD absence in POE makes me play only POE2 and I genuinely want to try POE but the mouse movement really sucks

" The game was never designed for this stereotype of gamer. All these new console gamers that joined POE in the later years caused the destruction of POE with their mentality. |

I make do without WASD by binding "W" to force move.
But I'd be lying if I said that WASD wasn't a superior experience, by several orders of magnitude, in POE 2. For now I'll bounce between the two games but the very second POE 2 has enough content that I can't possibly do it all (like POE 1) then I will shelve POE 1 forever. And a big reason for that is that mouse click to move is a severely outdated mechanic held over from a long bygone era and only implemented for nostalgic reasons. Those that rail against the idea of WASD in POE 1 are stuck in the past, [Removed by Support] Last edited by Vash_GGG#0000 on Jul 23, 2025, 11:27:35 PM
