We need WASD movement for PoE 1 now too.

I also don't enjoy POE1 style click-controls anymore with the transition to WASD in POE2, Diablo, Last Epoch, etc...
However, I would rather seem them deploy more POE1 like seasonal mechanics into POE2 sooner and more frequently. I vastly prefer POE2 anyway, it just doesn't have the seasonal mechanic variety of POE1 (yet, hopefully). POE2 already has a bigger playerbase. I suspect this isn't happening because POE2 classes are not even done, and this is a bigger effort... but once they finish the POE2 1.0 launch and all classes are in, I expect we'll see more POE1 like engaging seasonal mecahnics. |

I still really hope we get it as a option for Poe 1 also at one point. Personaly it feels so much better to play that way :)

I've been gaming for 27 years. Haven't seen harder gatekeeping of a game than with Path of Exile players. Incredible, it's nice to see people actively trying to cripple their game with little to no new players.
Great job. |

" Nothing wrong with your opinion but not sure outside of graphics that there is a single thing I prefer in POE2 and many many things I absolutely hate. Always surprised when someone loves POE2 greatly more. On I am not sure why this topic comes up all the time. GGG needs to add a sticky it has been addressed repeatedlyby Jonathan/ They will add it when the "rigs" for the characters are updated but that is a very large project and fairly far in the future. |

" You don't have to use the WASD movement if you don't want to, you know? Most people actually prefer the WASD movement and you can see "where's WASD" and similar discussions in the PoE 1 game chat every single day. WASD maybe doesn't have the same freedom of movement capabilities as mouse, but it's more comfortable, easier on your wrists and makes kiting easier. You might not like its advantages, but your opinion isn't more important than everyone elses. PoE 2 has the same autoaim/namelocking mechanism as PoE 1, it causes more problems in PoE 2 because you are able to attack while moving. WASD has nothing to do with it, if they gave us the option to disable namelocking the problem wouldn't exist. I personally have 4k hours in PoE 1 and around 300 in PoE 2 and already prefer the WASD movement by a lot. And you just haven't played many isometric games if you think WASD is a recipe for failure. Diablo 4, Binding of Isaac and Enter the Gungeon are the examples I can think of right now. PoE 2 too is a massive success and yet it has WASD. Either way, WASD in PoE 1 probably ain't gonna happen, since it supposedly requires massive reworks of existing character assets, but one can hope. " This is total crap. A subset of incredibly loud people isn't "most". General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

POE 2 has shown us that its totally possible to manage. they made flasks work well for controller so hopefully they can do it for keyboard too. and the rolling is already pretty satisfying so id be interested to see how good dashing can be
