Trial of Sekhemas is just unfair and not fun at all

Remove honor. Allow each level to have a challenge (allowing you to choose like PoE's Ascendancy). That's all. Reduce the frequency of debuffs for Chaos Trials.
Restrictive play should be done voluntarily by players who want to get the most rewards, and should not be forced.

So, remove the challenge part of the trials and the entire reason they exist? That's a good plan, you might as well just give away the... oh wait, that was your next idea, just give away the points without even a boss fight.

Trails are voluntary, you don't NEED to do them at all. If you want the reward you get for doing them, then you will do them.

As long as there is honor, players are forced to be evasive.
At least while it is associated with ascendancy, I think it should be a specification that can be exploited by the individuality of each build, such as ES, armor, hp, etc.
If this was one of the sub-contents, I would have been fine with forcing evasion.
But ......Ascendancy is content that everyone does.

In ordeals, in some cases, all options have debuffs.
Such situations no longer exist options to avoid the debuff.
This is very stressful for those who try for the sole purpose of obtaining the ascendancy.
After I got the ascendancy, I never want to play this content again.

Sanctum and Ultimates are too selective systems to be the main content.

Your base honor is already based off defenses, such as ES and evasion. Sekhema does not force the CHARACTER to be evasive, it teaches the PLAYER to be. It has nothing to do with the evasion stat, it's about physically not being hit. To balance it for warrior you take LESS damage the closer you are, which works well (did mine as warrior).

It is content everyone can do.

It is also a choice, there is Trial of Chaos and a 3rd that is yet released.
For what it's worth, just my experience.

As others mentioned, RNG of, well, the entire run can make or break you in some cases. The main things are stacking relics to cap honour res and max honour for sure, I had max res and ~3.2 max honour on the 4th ascendancy. The first few floors are easy, got to final boss a few times but I'm putting that down to me.
The big kicker was on the successful run, I got the necklace from the merchant (can't remember what it's called) that negates any minor afflictions from that point onward - I got that somewhere on floor 1, so after that was just picking my room rewards as I wanted (the only major affliction currently, to my knowledge, is the large damage after completing 8 rooms - and never saw it come up).
At that point, it was just more about me vs. final boss, honestly I stopped paying attention to my honour.

It is doable, for sure, but I also see the "BS" aspect of some runs, where it genuinely didn't feel "fair" vs. it was my own fault. Not sure where to strike the balance.

The biggest tip I can give is avoid the affliction that doesn't take you to the room you choose at all times - that was a notable run-killer for me. Even more frustrating if you somehow end up forced to go to the only room that gives you the affliction "you won't see afflictions each room gives" beforehand. Yes evidently that happened to me more than once as well, ha.
An hour long chug of a lepers bed pan.

What about people who never touched these content in the 1st game? I m sure they had the data to see that not everyone was fond of these mechanics. I don't know, feels like a slap in the face. In the 8+ years i overplayed this game it was the first time i bought a service for the ascendancy and i feel really salty about it. Haven't logged in both games for days now.
No its EPIC.

I had gone through the process of reading about my class and planning a character.
But this content, i mean why?

I was loving it right from the start.

Mobs had guaranteed critical strikes with fast movement speed.
At which point i was thinking man, im moving way too fast! I need a movement speed debuf!!

I hope GGG fixes that in the future and doesn't cave into the whiners.

We should all have 20% reduced movement speed when we zone in, it adds so much
tactical game play. As an aside, did you get the diagrams i sent of my testicle guillotine ? I use it while I do the ascendancies, It helps me get into the right mood.

I was really enjoying the hovering laser pyramid of death. I couldn't help but notice the intricate artwork, gratz to the art team they really nailed it
Id like to lube it up and give it back to them if they have time. I think the frictionless lube sheen would really accentuate the one shot lasers. Also perfectly setting the stage for the cheek spreading tornado pigeon up next.

That crack scab is just icing on the road apple i tell ya. I was hollering fun at the top of my lungs while being erased from existence. Such a great melee based encounter, the intricate jousting of me standing in the 5% of the map that isnt death, while my opponent stands in the whirlwind of death killing me. It was the most intense 0.0023 seconds of gaming in my life.

If i was forced to rate it ... Just under a hot sauce bidet.

Its a bad hated mechanic that has no place in a game.

Its much too long, compare how long it takes you in poe 1 to 2 for same trials.

Some afflictions should just be removed.

Some mechanics like those ***** fireballs need to go as they are run breakers.

If the carry market is so good for it, it should show you GGG that its just bad design.

Its not fun, its too frustration and that shouldn't happen in a game.
Just adding my voice to the "get rid of honor" crowd.

I'm abysmally bad at dodge rolling, and as a Warrior who has to be in melee, it's even harder. I made a tanky armor/regen build specifically because of this personal limitation. Honor completely negates my build choice, and shoves a giant "git gud" middle finger in my face.

I'm usually the last person to complain about a feature in a game. It's your game, do what you want. But Honor is just... wow. Who thought this would be received positively? And locking ascendancies behind it? Nuke it out of existence please and thank you.
Its incredibly infuriating.
As many have said, the honor system is so bad its baffling. Melee characters are punished for being melee, and everyone is punished for not stacking honor resist (what even is the point of having relics if all everyone does is stack resist..).

It also doesnt enable learning from your mistakes and trying again since every time you die you lose the key to the trial (as if losing 2 hours on your life on the most frustrating content in the game wasnt enough). So it forces you to come insanely overpowered and overgeared or not at all. Huh?

So yeah, it needs to be less of an RNG masochism fest. Pls get rid of honor.
When I did 4th floor on my ranged toon I was scratching my head and thinking: "thank god I am not melee"
Narrow corridors with a bunch of ranged mobs and a rare with random effects? Fun times ahead!
I've cleared up to tier 3, but if you have the DPS to clear tier 3, tiers 1 and 2 are just tedious and a waste of time.
