Trial of Sekhemas is just unfair and not fun at all
Obviously different ppl with different played builds have all the same problem and feeling about the trials. Given that feedback and the HUNDREDS of other posts about these issues here in the forum and on steam and in discord discussions - the developers should RETHINK and REMOVE the current system.
Whenever i speak with friends or other ppl on YT or other social media platform, they come down to the very same experience. The TRIALS SUCK! They are no fun, the are gating player progress, they are WAY to time consuming and they are frustrating because you cant progress. Yes there are players who beat the trials either due to massive OVERLEVELING or OVERPOWERED builds. This cant be the intention of the devs for the trials. And even with 20+ levels, some ppl fail to complete the acendencies. Its a fuking joke - and those 35% melee reduction wont help anything if you get shredded by machinegun-like ranged mobs with splash damage. DEVS PLAY YOUR OWN GAME!!! its infuriating... " I do agree that the game shouldn't be easy at all. I'm a big fan of the rolling mechanics, as a Soul Like fan believe me I'm really want to improve to overcome difficulty and challenges, but there this is just pure frustration. For the "orb" the first I was killed by it the monster was offscreen, so yeah I didn't realize what happened to me, but I analyzed the informations (like being slow and monster doing frost attack) and I adapted my playstyle. Second time I realize that this is a rare monster shooting me with the "orb" and I can roll it if i'm focused on it, but that was not enough since I was perma slowed in the room from something unknow, and I was able to tank one hit of the "orb", but that was not enough since I couldn't replenish my ES with all the other mobs in the room. If it was only that, I would try again, but no, really EVERY SECOND of Trial of the Sekhemas, I have in my mind that this is not fun at all, the honor system isn't a good design. So I don't want to try a third time, spend time on something no fun, to finaly get scam by the final boss because I have no idea of what he is doing. |

As a sanctum runner myself that has done no hit runs in PoE 1, I've actually come to hate the Trial of the Sekhemas.
To me it feels nothing like sanctum, it's not harder it just feels way worse in every aspect. With my minion build it just feels way too clunky at times, especially at narrow places where randomly only two minions want to actually do things. It's gotten easier now but I still hate how the last fight is designed, the mechanic just feels stupid and unnecessarily punishing in a wrong way. Bricking the whole run just because you don't meet the movementspeed requirement or have a mobility skill which are sparce and have huge opportunity cost is just plain shit. |

I just had to choose between 0% armor and -25% movement speed with my melee fighters. With 0% armor I then caught a slam at the 2nd boss and was 1-shot. Just so frustrating. I'm level 82 and I just want my points.

The trial is a complete joke after the update. They should probably rework it entirely since even as a melee class you don't lose any honor now. It's utterly trivial.

" You mean: just pray and try another time if RNG is not bless you? Sanctum is rogue-lite for loot, but GGG force it be rogue-lite for progress. It contradict to rest of the game. They should change honour from overlapped second health bar to item rarity/quantity modifier: has more - loot more. I don't care about loot. I want my points. I will never touch this trials outside of this - this is not game I want to play. Make it optional for those who want play it. I'm sure honour at the first place was added because of HC players, to allow them freely interact with shit RNG from another type of games. E = mc^(OMG)/wtf

its just way to hard of a mechanic to justify as EVERYONE needs to do it for ascention. the difficulty of trial and temple is in no way comparable to labs before.
i think the mechanics might be balanced ok for someone who is willing to invest in them and likes it (former sanctum runners maybe) - but should be tuned way down for ascention. |

All these long winded posts that can be summed up in 2 words, but instead may I suggest paying the 5ex for 3rd or 35 ex for 4th ascendancy and just moving on? These posts are pretty embarrassing im not gonna lie

After the update, the trial is extremely easier, however, i will admit that it’s not something I am looking forward to doing on every new character I make as it is time consuming.
As for those who haven’t gotten their additional ascendancy points yet, give it a try, it’s much improved. |

Tried it, nope still sucks and is horrible. I’m with everyone else scrap the entire trial thing it’s garbage. Completely unfun and it is literally a blight on what is otherwise an outstanding game. If you must keep trials for some of these try hard people make it optional and don’t lock your ascendsy behind it, I will not be doing it, don’t care if stifles my progress. I play games for fun, and these trails are not fun at all.
