Poe2 Endgame bugged / Citadels do not spawn/appear in the endgame map at all

90 as well, did a decent circle around the starting point then 6-8 screens in 3 directions and still no citadel (just monolith).

I also made the mistake of believing 2 well-known streamers that this was true. Supposedly they said you should pay attention to where there are 3 towers that are quite close to each other and one of the 3 towers must be corrupted, if this is the case the chance should be very high that there is also a Citadel there. It should not be 100% but a very high chance. For my part, I no longer believe that, I haven't found a single citadel to date and I've already done well over 100 maps in every direction. I have been trying for almost 3 weeks and I have 0 luck. So either there is a big bug with some people that they can't find citadels or something else is wrong that I can't explain. Am I doing something wrong? I don't know, maybe someone can shed some light on this. :D |

I thought I was just unlucky after clear all 150+ maps on 2nd character.

Most of you are going to be disappointed when you do find a citadel and then get 1-shotted anyway xD.
In all seriousness, I am level 95 and just found my first Iron Citadel last night. It needs a buff for sure, no doubt about it. I have two fragments from the Citadel I found, but still hunting for the others. |

Ok, so there appears to be a reasoning on how they spawn. Citadels will only spawn 70ish maps away from your spawning point, you have to bline in a str8ght line for about this amount of maps, hit towers and eventually you will see a citadel. Afterwards you dont have to go in a line I would recommend you to just circle around the first citadel you find and there should be more of them. For me that is how it worked. Went in a line untill I hit a citadel, then around that spot were 3 more in a very close range. I believe there will be more but I haven't explored yet. But still after that 70ish maps it is just rng.

Same issue for me lvl 91. done alot of maps but no citadels for me. not even one.

Lvl95 went in two directions really far. There are countless towers, way more than in the starting area... Gonna keep going, but feels like something is off

Has there been any acknowledgement of this as a bug? I have 6 characters that I have done waypoints on, two over 90 and still haven't seen a citadel. I have gone quite far in multiple directions and nothing.
I just don't know if it is even possible to be this unlucky. I have spent so much time scrolling around my atlas at the end of each day trying to make sure I didn't just miss one. |
