POE 2 loses it's identity/face on end-game
POE 2 loses it's identity/face on end-game.
When campaing feels very different than poe 1. So the more we push in campain the more it loses identity and being closer in feel to POE 1 or even D.. Game is to easy and to fast in Cruel and Maping. Mobs just swarm you and again it's only about zooming like in poe 1. End-game has no identity of poe 2. Asked my friends and everyone are agree that campain feels better and everyone who loved the difficulty of early campain - they don't like end-game. And people who don't liked early campain and wanted to poe 2 to be more of poe 1 - they like end-game. - Good gameplay early on campain and to fast over-stimulating end-game. - Skill based early game - more mobs than in poe 1 in end game. So which one poe 2 trying to be? more Diablo 4? or poe? or d2? all of them in one. - Power gain in end-game is to strong (we are powerful to fast). One shoting pinnacle bosses without much invest - it's copy of poe 1 - all of "cast on" and multyplying projectiles and screen wide explosions are necessary and only one to play. - all issuess from poe 1 returned here - they just simply copying defenses from POE 1. Which ends with over-complicated armor and very simple ES - should be inverted to match class fantasy. We will end again with armor need fortify + 3x conversion of conversion to conversion + stance to have playable armor. HP + Armor should be simple - as warriors build muscles and towering above enemies. But it's mages that like to use "mind" and learning spells have simple ES. - melee is bad due to fact they boosted 10x ranged and 2x melee. - Diablo 2 have more builds on one character than POE 2 EA. - It's closer to diablo 4 than Diablo 2. In it's end-game. early game and end-game are completely different games. With different core of gameplay. All you learn in campain is useless in end-game. - so it's worse than Diablo 2 and better than Diablo 4. Same like poe 1. Game very fast just droping it's fake mask and being just very clone of poe 1. So i don't know why they even attempts to making different game when all the synergies doesn't matter as it's "fast" that matter and uses few skills is not efficient. Your skill in end-game also doesn't matter. Please stick to core vision on poe 2 - Less density with higher quality drop - Slower gameplay with more gameplay - Lower projectile count and auto-casting - make new ways to play one big projectiles instead of spaming 564 projectiles and flooding screen - make only boss maps with harder bosses with similar experience to campain - STICK to Your vision and identity of the game - make game-breaking builds at END of the end game very late and not after 50 hours in end game maps... They don't know where they are going with this game. End game is PoE1's but gameplay is this weird sluggish thing.
All the BS about this being a different game and VISION goes to shit as soon as you see all the ctrl c / ctrl v map mods and league mechanics with hordes of hasty enemies Last edited by khuzvhan#0406 on Dec 17, 2024, 8:08:39 AM

+1 endgame feels like poe1 with less movespeed/mobility

Endgame will always end up as such since grinding is needed at endgame and thus efficiency and speed will reign supreme. This mean builds that are simpler, and have powerful offense will reign supreme. This is the fate of an endgame with so many build options who primary goal is essentially grinding.

End-game should be slower and remain on peace of campaing and use identity of path of exile 2 and not poe 1.
It creates a game which one part of community don't like campain but likes end-game and second which like campain but don't enjoying campain. It's very bad and all of players will be tired by something. POE 1 should be poe 1 and poe 2 should stay as poe 2 in it's core. Where positioning is important, boss fights are meaningful. Then reaching that power of being "god" should be accessible in 50-100 hours of playing END-game and not entering it. There's barely no diference when we start end-game and we spent 50 hours in it. As we start end-game we are "god killers" which should be considered as spending much more time in end-game than just entering it. |

" that did work for me though I placed my time off during the weeks of poe2 release and it took me a good 80hours of fully investing this character to get there to this extent Farming salt on the forums since 2024

" Disagree. Endgame is about hours upon hours of farming. Farming is only bearable when you can. It is also expected to be repeated every league. If you slow it down even more and make builds even less powerful, you will have to increase drop rates across the board. Even probably go back on their one chance at a map set up currently in place. No one is forcing you to go fast (I currently do not go fast in PoE1 mapping) The only thing I agree with is your splitting the community here. Unfortunately for those that like the campaign, chances are it will change, since it too is expected to be repeated every single league thus will grow to be hated by the players just like it did for PoE1 |

end game has to reflect the campaign gameplay as that what is being marketed, current endgame is rather boring zoom zoom kill everything in 1 shot. farming never matters, all drop rates can be adjusted to suit the targeted gameplay.

The number of boss encounters decreases drastically once you start mapping. You used to fight one (sometimes two or three) per area during the campaign, but then you have to farm about five areas to encounter one. I'm a bit sad about that.

" Since the campaign loving group hates lots of drops, increasing drops will also upset them. Farming matter because that is the end game. It has to be simple enough to do it for hours on end and yes often mindless. When you've killed the same boss 50+ time in the maps there is nothing fun or new to learn about it so being forced to treat it like early campaign is no longer engaging, rather it is just annoying. |
