Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder is hitting REALLY HARD - A SMALL GUIDE
" Ahoy, The 6 passives would be nice, but the mobility increase while using the skill is invaluable to me. Maybe others aren't bothered by skipping it, but it feels too clunky without. As for the tree, absolutely. There's so much room for optimization. This is technically still the GA passive tree, with some tiny adjustments (alchemists boon aura / withering touch aura and acrobatics) |

Can confirm this build is insanely OP now.

I thought increases to chaos dmg didn't affect poison because poison dmg is based on the hit that caused it?

started a pathfinder and pconc feels op as fuck. i dont think you need to hinder your build with snakebite and that helmet if you go for flask passives but i will bring this to end game and see how it works.

" Most of us are already enjoying it in endgame, and you indeed do not need snakebite nor the helm. There are other ways to get giga flask charges if you think REALLY hard about it, in a way that it wont gimp your current output. I've used pconc now on all easily available bosses except for Arbiter and Xoph, but everything else including +6 t16 bosses and 4th ascendancy with 4-man carry have been easy without caring for flask charges. |

This is a dumb question, but I've been staring at the poison tooltip to my utter befuddlement.
Does % increased chaos damage work on poison damage? Does % increased attack damage (assuming the source skill is an attack) work on poison damage? Last edited by Duodecimus#3798 on Dec 20, 2024, 6:52:55 PM

" In this case, yes both work. Which is why I have 2x 36% chaos damage rings, the original nodes for gas arrow near CI. As for attack damage, I'm currently using among others, "Close combat" support gem as it significantly boosts our dmg. These sorts of things sadly aren't represented well with the tooltip-soup in poe2, however the knowledge was gained in poe1 with similar skills and interactions. Also - just to say, I'm not talking out of my backside. I spent many many hours damage testing each and every sub skill to see what combo of 6 made the most sense. As an off-note, it looks like Widowhail rounds up the +skills from the quivers, i've got a 245% rolled bow and a +1 quiver gives +3 skills. I wonder if a +2 rolls up to +6 this way?

for reference: lvl 88, no 6link, gem lvl 28 or 29
After some testing, what's ya'lls take on Flask sustain? I did the time guy boss on trials yesterday for my last ascendancy and it was the first time i ran out of mana flask charges but I was really attacking without regards for weather i already had full stacks on him. In the end i had to stand around awkwardly for a minute and dodge some stuff and then killed him. If i had tried to conserve flasks it would have gone a lot smoother. I don't have the Ring OP suggests because i really value the Resists and Life on rare rings. Also a rare ring has the option of +% Chaos damage. Another Upgrade for flask charges would be a belt with +# flask charges gained per second (implicit) an some +% inreased flask charges gained nodes. Maybe that would be enough already? Buying a unique ring might be less expensive than looking for matching rare rings/belts but i'd say in mapping even that is not really necessary. Even with 50+% decreased flask charges gained as a modifier on t17/18 maps I don't really run out of charges if I play a bit more aware and maybe use plague bearer more often. |

" It does indeed. Checked when I had a bad widowhail (261%) and combined with with 80% passive tree nodes for a combined 341%. 2*3.41 = 6.82 and it gave me +7. For best case pconc situation for scaling it, you want the following: Gem lvl 20 (By hitting lvl 90 and unlocking 6-link) +3 proj Amulet 305% Widowhail combined with +2 quiver 80% quiver bonus from passive tree nodes As many 15% jewels as you can afford (With current tree we have access to 4 slots so 60%) +1 Chaos from sub skill +1 Chaos from passive tree +1 Skill on helm (NOT ADVISED!!!!!) Therefore, passives + jewels = 140% + Widowhail = 445% which makes it 2*4.45 = 8.9, aka 9 ranks. This would get us 20+9+3+1+1+1 Pconc level 35, which is 1809 - 2713 flat chaos damage. " Please do not use silly items like the ring / helm / boots. From testing snakebite isn't even necessary. Just use 2x 36% chaos rings, and good defensive boots/gloves. If you're running out of charges, it means your damage is too low. To solve low damage you have 2 options. Better sub skills / persistant buffs, or secret tech :) Last edited by KnoxxVille88#6731 on Dec 20, 2024, 6:11:56 AM
