Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder is hitting REALLY HARD - A SMALL GUIDE
There are venoms and virtues aplenty in the wilds, if you now where to look
Hello Exiles, this time I'll make a levelling guide to help all of you to play this build. DISCLAIMER:
Spoiler
THIS IS JUST A GUIDE FOR A SECURE AND COMFY EXPERIENCE LEVELING AND WITH MY FINAL SETUP, YOU ARE ALWAYS ENCOURAGED TO BE PLAYING AND TRYING OTHER THINGS!
ALSO I'M NOT JESUSCHRIST TO KNOW EVERY POSSIBILITY YOU MAY COME ACROSS YOU PLAYTHROUGH, THIS WAS MADE IN RELATION TO MY EXPERIENCE, YOUR GEAR OF COURSE WILL BE DIFFERENT, PLEASE BE UNDERSTANDING IF SOMETHING IS NOT THE SAME AS YOUR EXPERIENCE Last patch PConc recieved a HUGE buff, so this was way better than expected, and even is probably the strongest PoE 2 build I played so far, even better than Monk! Gotta be honest, we're not gonna use PConc from the moment we get it, why? Because until we get 51 passive points (IN MY EXPERIENCE) is better to use Lightning skills (Lightning Arrow, Stormcaller Arrow, etc.), but the moment we have those 51 passive skills points it's time to do the conversion. So our first few levels are gonna be the usual Lightning setup, nothing out of this world: NOTABLES: Honed Instincts, Vile Wounds, Surging Currents, Harness the Elements. SKILLS: Really there are a lot of setups tbh just use whatever you really want, Lightning Arrow + Lightning Rod is the most common. I personally were using Stormcaller Arrow and no cold skills since I had a really good elemental damage bow, I was dealing enough base cold damage to be freezing enemies without a cold skill. Our next step will be getting close to the 51 passive skills points, You really can do a lot of things by this point, but this was my Tree: NOTABLES: Exploit, Forces of Nature Also by this point i thin you should be getting your first Ascendancy, this is the Tree: ASCENDANCY POINT: Traveller's Wisdom. SKILLS: Lightning Arrow - Primal Armament - Lightning Penetration - Martial Tempo Lightning Rod - Chain Stormcaller Arrow - Lightning Mastery - Primal Armament - Lightning Penetration. (Yes i was swapping gems from LA, this was my bossing skill) AURAS: Herald of Thunder. From this point we'll be getting even closer to the conversion, but this was my 50 passive skill points Tree: NOTABLES: Electrocution, Snowpiercer ASCENDANCY STILL LOOKS THE SAME SKILLS ARE ALSO THE SAME FINALLY we got to the point where we'll be starting to use Poisonous Concoction, AT THIS POINT WE'LL BE USING THE WIDOWHAIL SETUP, since we got our 2nd Ascendancy, this will be the Tree: NOTABLES: Honed Instincts, Crippling Toxins, Master Fletching, Stacking Toxins, Lasting Toxins, Wasting, Fast Acting Toxins, Dark Entries. Our Ascendancy Tree: ASCENDANCY POINTS: Brew Concoction -> Poisonous Concoction. SKILLS: Poisonous Concoction - Chaos Mastery - Chaos Infusion - Comorbidity - Bursting Plague - Scattershot/Deadly Poison. (IN THAT ORDER OF PRIORITY) Rain of Arrows - Withering Touch - Martial Tempo. Despair - Heightened Curse - Persistance AURAS: Herald of Plague - Plague Bearer/Wind Dancer Plague Bearer: If you wanna clear better, I highly recommend using this with: Astral Projection - Magnified Effect Wind Dancer: a more defensive option if you're comfortable with your clear, try using this with: Maim ITEMS: - WIDOWHAIL SETUP: This is really easy, a high-rolled Widowhail with a Quiver with the following Affixes: +2 Levels of all Projectile Skills (MOST IMPORTANT AFFIX), +X% Attack Speed (14 at least), Accuracy Rating. The idea behind this is to maximize those Affixes with Widowhail and Master Fletching, getting insane multipliers in our damage, spiking to the fucking sky. - Glowswarm with Keelhaul. The better rolled they are, the better mana flask sustain you'll get. - Snakebite is NOT NEEDED, but you can use it if you want, in my preference the +1 poison stack feels good. From now, everything's just insanely comfy, Damage is insane so we can focus whatever we want in the Tree at this stage (damage or resistances), this was my Tree: NOTABLES: Escape Velocity, Freedom of Movement, Escalating Toxins, Building Toxins. ANY OTHER THING WAS THE SAME (Skills, Auras and Ascendancy) Next step, The 3rd Ascendancy, this time we'll be getting some changes here, THE MOMENT WE GET OUR 3RD ASCENDANCY IS BETTER TO UNSPEC Travellers Wisdom and put those points in Contagious Contamination and Overwhelming Toxicity. My Trees were the following: NOTABLES: Wither Away, Pure Chaos, Proficiency, Falcon Technique, Enhanced Reflexes, Beastial Skin ASCENDANCY TREE: ASCENDANCY POINTS: Unspec Traveller's Wisdom, get Contagious Contamination and Overwhelming Toxicity. SKILLS ARE THE SAME AURAS: Stop using Herald of Plague (and if you were using Plague Bearer also stop using it), instead use Alchemist's Boon and Wind Dancer, support them with whatever you want really. I highly recommend using Cannibalism, it's really really good. ITEMS: Get a good Fine Belt (that's the base's name, get a good rare one). Getting our 4th Ascendancy is the last step and this is kinda a user's preference thing. I personally like Traveller's Wisdom but Running Assault is a good QoL thing to have. PASSIVE SKILL TREE WITH TRAVELLER'S WISDOM: NOTABLES: Kite Runner, Flurry, Acceleration, Deterioration, Arcane Alchemy, Cautious Concoctions, Catlike Agility, Blur, and the other 2 minor skill points in Master Fletching. ASCENDANCY TREE: TREE WITHOUT TRAVELLER'S WISDOM: DIFFERENCES: Not using Catlike Agility, Blur and the other 2 minor skill points in Master Fletching. ITEMS: Please swap Glowswarm and start minmaxing some Chaos Damage rings. SKILLS ARE THE SAME. AURAS ARE THE SAME. IF YOU GUYS SUGGEST ANYTHING I'LL TRY IT AND IF IT WORKS I'LL GIVE FULL CREDIT TO YOU! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR THIS! Down here it's the original post if you wanna see it. Since I'm trying to make myself a name in the PoE community I'll plug my twitch channel, so if you find this useful and/or have any questions please go to twitch.tv/peladoawp so I can answer them live or even say whatever you want, it's always a pleasure to see people coming by and saying "hey thanks for the guide" or "just go full bald man, stop stalling", that's the main reason I do this type of guides.

Hello Exiles!
Some of you might recognize me from the Bonestorm Blood Mage with a funny name guide, some of you might not. It's me again, with the will of making something that's weak at the eyes of all work in, at least, a solid-enough way to be considered playable. This time my idea is Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder, the name's still at work (and of course the whole build, tree, gem set-up and literally 90% of the work that requires a build working) Since Poisonous Concoction (*1) ALWAYS applies poison on hit, my idea is to take to the maximum possible the ammount of poisons we can inflict on a target and abuse Overwhelming Toxicity (*2) and just be chilling around enemies until they die (THIS will be the most painful thing for me since I don't like DoT builds at all, but Pathfinder is having a rough time on the meta and I'll make it work, showcasing all the proccess) I have absolute 0 fucking idea on gems, but in items I'll be using Snakebite (*3) and Glowswarm (*4) with a lot of flask synergies. I'll be updating this as I always do with my ideas and build progress. If you enjoyed Menstruation Boner, please stay tuned to this. I'll be documenting some work in my Twitch channel (twitch.tv/peladoawp) if you wanna see me doing all the experimentation and proccess live. PICTURES: 1: Poisonous Concoction 2: Overwhelming Toxicity 3: Snakebite 4: Glowswarm Every recommendation and idea will be of much help, since this is NOT my field of knowledge. 19/12/2024 EDIT: I've been trying everything you suggested guys, but the best thing until now is the Widowhail setup (a juicy rolled Widowhail with a +2 Proj skills, Attack speed quiver and Master Fletching with every small node included) and my experience so far is: PRETTY GREAT, incluiding the fact that I DON'T LIKE DOT BUILDS. So that's actually something. The buffs are really notable, scaling levels IS good, but it's 40% of PConc's scaling, Poison Magnitude IS a 30%, and the other 30% is just gear + support gems. Don't understimate Poison Magnitude. Ailment nodes are also really good. Soon I'll have a step-to-step guide i believe. GLHF Exiles! What is the easiest way to stack multiple poisons on a single target? I'm only level 30 but finding it difficult to stack multiple poison instances on each enemy. Is their a skill that can hit once and stack more than one poison on an enemy? Currently using Gas Arrow with Toxic Growth, but I definitely feel underpowered having to hit enemies 3 times to get 3 instances of poison on them which just goes away in 2 seconds anyway. Regardless I'm following this progress.
Do you plan to make use of Low Tolerance? Last edited by cdaburnab#4574 on Dec 14, 2024, 10:18:10 PM

" Hello Exile! I'll be trying all sorts of things to make it work, still have 0 clue how, maybe something with chainings first? I'll try to make it work somehow. Low Tolerance is indeed something in my radar, but not one of the Notables I'll be trying first. Thanks for the feedback, if I were capable of making Bonestorm work (with a huge help from the community too), then this will not be an exception. GLHF Exile! |

I've got an 85 PF using Gas arrow atm...but it would be sweet to get ol PConc working just for funsies. Let me know how it goes...I'll help test when I farm a boadload of gold for multiple respecs.

Have you also looked at Corpsewade Iron Greaves? It triggers Decompose on step, which poisons enemies up to 40% of the corpses life which is a lot. I don't know too much going on for me to play and test anything.

" The 20 str req, cucks us to hard for leveling at least but will being doing end game testing |

There are currently 3 belts which can help with mana flask charges sustain:
Meginord's Girdle, which gives you 100% increased Flask Charges gained, but have a nasty downside, but manageable Keelhaul, which gives you flat charges per second, up to 0,25s. Birthright Buckle, in my opinion best in slot for that, have 0 downsides and can give you 60% increased Flask Charges gained in total. Also there is no (or I couldn't find any) information if "increased Flask Charges gained" actually increases flat charges per second. Trying out Concoction for myself, have not that much damage, at the moment of writing this message I'm at the beginning of act 3. Still this is the easiest sustain build I ever played, you can play as slow as you like, especially against bosses, because you will never run out of flask charges. |

" Hello Exile! Thanks for the enthusiasm, I really appreciate external help with this type of projects. I believe that with 300k gold that I have right now should be enough to at least find a solid Tree. But of course if anyone wanna do experimental stuff and post your experience that would be really cool. GLHF Exile! |
|
" Hello Exile! Yes I did! And I'm seeing it as a good endgame addition to the build, but of course, in this type of projects nothing is granted for sure without testing it. GLHF Exile! |

" Hello Exile! I really really appreciate those ideas and feedback! I'm gonna test every one of those belts of course! But I'll try a funky set-up with Chaos Inoculation, not gonna spoil the idea to evade baiting people into something that maybe does not even work, but I'll be posting advancements in that regard. Thanks again for those recommendations. GLHF Exile! Last edited by DrugaddictMenemist#6176 on Dec 16, 2024, 10:47:57 PM
