poe2filter.com - A PoE 2 custom loot filter generation website
First, thanks for this awesome tool!!
Just the other day I was thinking it would be nice to be able to duplicate a cosmetic and custom rule instead of having to make it from scratch. I see today that it's been added to the cosmetic section and that is amazing! Two requests: 1) Is there any way to also get the clone button added to the custom rules section? 2) Can we get an undo button? Thank you for all your hard work again! I must say awesome tool so far, at first it was janky to use and was not gonna be bothered text editing everything myself.
Glad I came back revisited it and see its became so much easier to use. I now have spend a few hours to setup a fully custom filter for me and a friend and its really easy to edit/update via importing. Small change i would like to see if even possible is reflecting the icon choice in the cosmetic rules. Currently its a checkmark but would like to see the icon as it is in-game. This could maybe also be done for beams. I don't know how the site UI works but was thinking maybe a matching small PNG that reflects the given choice. either way great work and keep it up |

" Really glad to hear you're liking it! ^^ " I've already looked into that, indeed. On https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Guide:Item_filter_guide there's actually what's called a 'sprite' which contains them all (not sure if that's scraped from the game files or just made like that): https://www.poewiki.net/w/images/1/18/Minimap_icons.png But the problems with sprites is they're not easy to resize, which as you can see on the wiki page results in a weird design. I'd need to split them all up in individual png's, and probably create a new sprite with new matching css, which is all a bit of work I haven't yet gotten down to. So for now unfortunately I temporarily settled for the checkmarks :) Author of http://poe2filter.com/ - A Path of Exile 2 Custom Filter Generation Website

" 1) Hm, i'm rather hoping that custom rules are easy to make and don't have a lot of time-consuming configuring to do: just select the base type, a tier, and you're good. Might I ask what your use case is that you would need this for? 2) Hm, I guess I could do something like that, good idea... :) But won't be coming soon as this will be a bit of work. In the mean time, maybe take a backup of your filter file from time to time before you do large changes; in case you need to revert you can just import the previous filter file version! " I have split all the sprites into individual PNG's (616 png's) Example: full zip file can be found on the google drive link below https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YNHftf74RN-KGG6OGfJ-FG-zUMuqeaHE/view?usp=drive_link currently its 64x64 pixels but you can resize them easier now. i don't mean to put you to work on it just maybe for future :D Last edited by Zeninka#2104 on Jan 8, 2025, 4:37:32 PM

Deployed a large new version, introducing Custom Tier Styles. For now, for each of the default tiers, you can customize the style, so all currency from that tier will look that way. Also further improved the example label (I might have spent a bit too much time on that one :p)
In a later update, you'll be able to drag & drop currency into the tier you like; and you'll be able to create Custom Tiers, which you can use for your Custom Rules. I also did a long-overdue update of the 'How to use this site' section, explaining how to create, update, and import filters, and how to use filters for multiple characters. The Custom Tier Styles does not seem to actually be applying to the different tiers. Every currency that drops for me is still showing in the default colors.
Here's my current filter cosmetic settings as well: UPDATE: I resolved this by completely deleting the filter from my folder and putting in a fresh copy. It seems that PoE2 wasn't actually reloading the filter properly. On a side note, disabling the Custom Cosmetic Rules in the filter does not actually disable any rules you might have created. The filter doesn't import the file today 08 Jan 2025. It worked the day before though. Both Google and Edge
