totems stats scale off yours so it does work. There are some exceptions but the generic aoe for attacks does work
Does + crit chance work? From passives i mean. Tooltip shows no change
Appreciate the hard work and of course great info! I was going to ask if critical damage bonuses on gloves or other gear works with totems or not? As far as I understand from your post looks like every buff which is not on your weapons seems to work with totems. Also I wanted to share you my findings too. I believe mana on kill or life on kill doesn't work with totems even if it is on the passive tree too. My guess is because you do not do the "killing", totem does. Also in the game it specifies that totems uses their own weapon, so that may be why our weapons don't work at all, but other stats are inherited to totems unlike the minions.
I think it's not intended and gonna be fixed, but unique 2h mace Hrimnor's Hymn grants 100% aftershock chance to totems as well, which imo is insane, but i'm not that deep into endgame right now, so i don't know if +7 levels is worth sacrificing for aftershock on every hit (especially if you can sustain hp cost with blood magic).

If using Hrimnor's Hymn you can get max of +14 to levels if im not mistaken (+7 from 2h mace, +2 from gloves, +3 from amulet, +1 from unique helmet, +1 from gem corruption). I'm not good at maths, but lvl 40 setup of ancestral warrior+sunder w/o aftershocks is roughly 2x more damage than lvl 34 of the same setup, but with aftershocks on every hit it seems to be +- the same on paper, while being twice cheaper on mana/hp costs.

Main problem for me with this idea is that even on lvl 34 of skills w/ Blood Magic and all the supports cost of 1 totem is 900ish life, and there aren't that many life regen nodes on tree to stack regen heavily. So maybe (if you play Titan like i do) a better idea would be to opt out of blood magic later on and just take all the mana cost convert to life nodes (blood rush cluster + price of freedom cluster) - with hulking form costs should become 51% life 49% mana + you don't make your mana flask slot useless.

I think ancestral warrior setup with *almost* any skill is superior to just using shockwave totem. Due to ancestral totem being meta skill. Yes, you lose 1 support gem slot, but instead you scale +levels on 2 active skills instead of just 1 while paying mana/life just for ancestral warrior. For example: attack time on shockwave totem with +20 quality is roughly the same as ancestral + sunder setup, base attack damage on lvl 34 of skill gem is the same as well, but additional damage scaling for shockwave is 583% while sunder has 1505%.

Ancestral + sunder might be higher damage but I wonder how it feels for mapping since it is directional vs Shockwave, which is 360 degrees.

Ancestral + Sunder will probably excel for bosses.

im just wondering armor break doesnt do anything to me?! with resonating shield i 100% armor break around me but dont see any difference if i dont. is there a supp gem that im missing? i dont see that armor break has any inherit bonuses but "empowering" other skills on full armor break. i cant see a damage upgrade lets say like ele pen for elementary builds.

Sunder gives you a 100% crit chance against enemies with broken armour, so it's used there for chunking.
On top of that you can use 'Pile On' and its surrounding nodes from the passive tree to improve the amount of damage that you do to enemies with broken armour (it's at 8 o'clock on the passive tree)
