Ascendancy Trials Feedback: Understanding Player Concerns

Not that I would like any trial of ascendancy in Poe 1 I generally feel it less painful in Poe 2. I might be one of many or maybe one of few but that's just my opinion.
I wouldn't say it's as easy as ascendancy in Poe 1, but like whole Poe 2 is harder I just couldn't complain since I take this as a different game with different difficulty and it just feels right to have something in game being more difficult than regular gameplay. That goes to bosses as well. Ascendancy points should not be as easy to get like running maps or campaign if I am comparing those two things. Poe 1 lab was ridiculously easy, the boss was something you don't even need to think about because the only concern was to get through the labyrinth. I feel they scructured it right in Poe 2 and fact that i HATED sanctum in poe 1, I just like it alot in this game.
I didn't even need to think about lab in Poe 1 since it was needed to get to the minimum lvl and you could do it easily, because of the simple mechanics. Now you need to think about what you are doing, that is something what I like. And no doubts there are things that are too harsh or unbalanced but I'm sure the game will look different in a year. But overall I can't complain on ascendancy in this game in any way.

Agreed very much. I am okay with Sekhema and Trial of Chaos as optional content, but as you point out, they are very much not optional in real ways. I want my primary progression to be from the primary gameplay loop.

Then you havent played a melee class trying to do Asc.3+4 or a class which isnt evolved around ranged combat.
I dont have nothing to add here, you wrote what me and my friends talk about when we do talk about the trials, especially the part about Labyrint, that EVERYONE could do it, it actually teaches you to use your movent to reduce damage taken, by avoiding traps!

Wile writting i came up with something to add, the first trial probably its meant to teach people how to dodge with the honor mechanic, but it does that in a poor way, since people actually wanna Burst enemy instead of playing the long term strats.

And the second trial i took a wile to do, because i tought you needed to stack all 10 rooms, since the NPV gets you information 1/10 - 2/10 so on, so when i died to bullshit circle on my feet after getting petryfy, i kinda gave up there
It would be nice if GGG at least addresses the players' frustrations with these trials. It's one of the worst experiences I've ever had in an otherwise great game.

I just post this as I'm annoyed that Sanctum is in the game and the honor system does not work for tanky block/armor characters that are built around tanking hits via Armor/block chance and Life regen. Every hit I take mitigates Sanctum progress, which makes my playstyle and build unviable for this. I can't and won't ascend like this. Maybe at level 50, when things just die and I can trivialize this mechanic, which is definitely in the designer's mind as how to play this.
Great feedback honestly, contructive and useful too. Feeling the same sentiment regarding these trials. Hope the devs read this one.
