(Stormweaver) Max projectiles cold converted fireballs. Cheap, easy, powerful, FUN! (T16+ ready)
" This is what I have been using, as MoM hybrid without Eldritch battery, because I started needing multiple defensive layers. This doesn't work without decent energy shield and lots of mana and regen. You can also see it has 5 jewel slots, which all get put to good use for mana regen and ES boosting purposes. Click:MoM no EB That's the cool part about POE2, it's streamlined to the point where you can just use a 'core' of a build tree and then supplement it to fill the gaps in your personal defenses or offenses, which gives people following builds a lot more wiggle room to sort themselves out. This isn't "my build", it's just something you can do with the game if you want to. You can open your passive window and hit 'ctrl+f' to find nodes, and then type the stat you want to add to your character, or just look around for things nearby. If you aren't sure what you want to do, then I suggest you look for 'energy shield' and pick up as much max energy shield % as possible as you can reach, try to get the biggest energy shield nodes possible with your extra points. The core does the work, your extra points you can play with however you want, and you can't really brick your character since there are numerous and simple ways to earn lots of gold fast to respec. |

" take stats you need to equip your gear and gems (you need enough str for the blueflame bracers), rest is int |
Are there recommendations for best Runes to use? Or is that also super flexible?
I'm vary wary of using any since they're currently permanent which is a massive pain. |
" no lol this entire build guide is just fluff All it boils down to is equip blueflame bracers, and use fireball gem with wildshards, scattershot, and unleash support gems. |
" If you get some really well rolled ES gear and have your resists covered, then I suggest using 20% armor/evasion/es runes in them instead of resists. If your resists are not maxed and your gear is meh, the used runes to fix the resist issue first. Exalts are plentiful in maps, don't be afraid to spend. |
" Coolio thanks! I'm still in the levelling process, deleting most stuff pretty confidently in the early act 3 so far, but I spent 3ex to get well rolled gloves and I didn't want to brick those. I'll still hold off putting a rune in them until I know what exactly I need I think. I expect I couldn't go wrong with a resist, but, I also know from extensive experience in PoE1 that it can be a nightmare if you need very specific resist amounts on one last piece of gear and still want it to be decent lol |
can't stress enough that you should not stress about your leveling gear
if you are doing trade league things then buy yourself a nice caster weapon with +levels to fire if you're using fireball, try to keep your resist up, and blow up the campaign you will(and should) 100% replace all your campaign gear very fast as soon as you get into maps starting map gear costs like 1 exalt each piece, a 30% movespeed boot with a useful stat on it will cost like 2 exalt, a starting map wand with +4 fire levels and some damage will be 2 exalt so basically, don't worry about it, exalts are very common now |

" Oh yeah, these are the Unique Gloves. I wanted a decent one of those 'cause they'll ideally be on there forever, unless there's some kind of amazeballs Corruption mod we could roll. At the moment just trying to get a Midnight Braid, since I think that will be useful for pretty much any variant of the build, then I can worry free upgrade my gear whenever I need to. I spent 1EX on a solid wand at the end of act 2 with zero regrets, was a huge boost to my damage, so most of my deaths at the moment are just plain old inexperience and idiocy (Coupled with the occasional "Oh I guess I need to see the floor for that mechanic" moment haha) I love the relative cheap-ness of this build too, so many builds in PoE1 I had to not bother with because they had a stupid high entry cost to be viable. |
" Oh yeah I feel that, I want to get a perfect pair of gloves and belt also, but atm my resists are maxed and my gear is a bit inflexible. The best thing to do would probably socket one of the chaos resist items in it. Getting enough chaos resist is a real pain, just like in poe1. Chaos ground effects / pools are the real bane of this build. Last edited by Konried#2763 on Dec 15, 2024, 6:59:54 PM

I'm aiming for "Good enough that I'll only replace when I'm really starting to min/max the gear", which wasn't too bad with the gloves, but the belts are selling the second they hit the trade site lol
Chaos is always a pain, I think my last 9 builds on PoE all used Shavronne's Wrapping lol Does PoE2 even have Chaos Innoc? |
