For the 4th gem slot, we should prioritize Fireball, right?

I'm working on putting that in the main page.
This is what I have been using for the last hour or so to do relatively juiced T15 maps and bosses very comfortably. Im going to hit the ember with a greater jeweler and gcp's, since it feels great with unleash and buffing it with flame wall for boss fights. The %more modifiers there are a bit crazy, and it hits extremely hard fully buffed. I drop wildshards if I am not doing league content.
Fireball (Arcane tempo, scattershot, controlled destruction, inspiration)
Ember: (Unleash, Rising Tempest, Considered Casting)
Frost wall: (Spell Echo, Ingenuity, Spell Cascade, Conc effect)
Flame wall: (Fortress, Magnified Effect)
Frost bomb: (Strip away, fast forward, elemental focus)
Hypothermia: (Hex bloom, heighten curse)
Sigil of power (weapon switch): (Duration, energy barrier)
Cast on freeze: (Frost wall, inevitable critical, cold exposure, impetus) ((automated exposure just for quality of life, havent found a boss CoF spell I like yet))
Arctic armor: (Glaciation, Deep Freeze, Frost nexus) (anti swarmer/hasted mob tech, freezes anything that gets on you for 8+ seconds).
Archmage
Thanks for writing this up. So we are ditching wild shards?

Level 80 max ES no MoM:click
this build has no points in the "fire 2 additional projectiles", is that on purpose? I thought I read in the guide you explained how those nodes are huge damage increases, but I could be wrong?
the core build is the build, the variants are just thinks you can branch off and do with it
max ES would probably be leading into CI, and I dont think you can spare the projectile nodes as CI, you really just need every ES node in reach
Yea I ended up just going CI and trying to max ES/mana as much as possible. Had to remove all those proj nodes, but they do seem tempting for shotgun as you explained.
Thanks for the guide/responses.

no, wildshards is great, it's just optional
juiced T15's have a bunch of potentially really rippy offscreen projectile monsters, and wildshards wasn't helping me nuke them down so I switched things up a bit
the gem layout for this build is actually very flexible, but the core idea is lots of projectiles with fireball to shotgun frost walls (now)

Have you looked into Font of Mana as a support for Frost Wall?
40% Mana Regen for something that seems to be nearby us seems like a no-brainer, no?
edit/
Why are we running impetus with frost wall on CoF? Impetus supports meta skills, I don't believe frost wall is such a skill. Maybe I'm missing something?

It's a great build. How important is firewall? I feel like I've been using it less, but I may not totally understand the mechanics of it. So, if we fire our projectiles through the firewall, it boosts the damage? I find myself casting frostwall more often and completely omitting firewall, but maybe I'm doing it wrong?
It seems with a new "wind up" spell, ember, there's even less time to lay everything down necessary for a boss/rare. Are you skipping firewall often too?

Impetus is technically supporting Cast on Freeze, it means that every freeze generates more energy so you need less before it'll trigger the Frost Wall cast.
Edit:
Also, early on Font of Mana could be useful but later on we're destroying our own walls too quickly to benefit from it I expect.
