(Stormweaver) Max projectiles cold converted fireballs. Cheap, easy, powerful, FUN! (T16+ ready)

When would you recommend picking up MoM?

Or, I guess, what level of mana/defences would you suggest having before picking it up?

I'll be in that part of the tree in a few levels, wondering if I should grab it straight away or wait until I've got better stuff.
Should I get a corrupted Blueflame with 120% Fire to Cold modifier? Does it improve your fireball damage by 20%?

I dont know lmao, if its cheap grab it and compare it to a normal blueflame
Okay fellas I think I might have something for our single target that is in line with the build. I just did a few T15 bosses and a felt pretty good and definitely was better than shotgunning alone.

Ember Fusillade: (Unleash, Rising Tempest, Considered Casting)

In keeping with the max projectile synergy and spam theme of the build, I sacrificed unleash on fireball to to use it with ember fusillade. Thanks to the extreme cast speed of ember fusillade(EF), it stacks unleash very quickly and the spell becomes hyper efficient to use due to our extra projectile nodes.

50% of the time we fire 2 extra projectiles thanks to our passive tree.
Unleash repeats a spell twice. Therefore, you can very often get a 9 stack of embers on fusillade with 1 button press, which is very fast casting and saves on mana.

Now with unleash the 2 repeats do much less damage. However, the projectiles get more damage per number fired in sequence. Sounds kind of pointless right?

Well here's the fun part. You put them through a firewall, and the final 'free' projectiles in that sequence we got from unleash, boost the flat projectile damage we get from firewall massively thanks to their 'more' bonus from being last in sequence. It's also 9 at fast cast speed for 1 button press 50% of the time.

The additional 'tech' here is this: you simply cast the spell twice to get your 10th (or and 11th/12) max damage ember. The first cast gives us free big numbers of projectiles for one button press quite often. The second cast stacks a 'fresh' first casat ember that isn't suffering from unleash debuff, that takes full advantage of the sequence of firing for a massive multiplier.

Because Ember is a 'skirmishing' skill we just hit while moving or right after doing something else, we using rising tempest with it and since its cast speed is so fast anyways, we use considered casting for 40% more damage without a downside.

I'm not going to say this is the final piece of the puzzle, but it definitely rounds out our capabilities. Unleash is total overkill on fireball past a certain point, but we are still using unleash to create projectiles, so I'm fine with it.

-Uses the super fun projectile nodes well
-Something to do while building up frost wall stacks
-Something to do while not in ideal position for fireball
-Something to do while moving away from mechanics
-Excellent single target
-Take advantage of 'setup' with frost bomb and curse by getting buffed by other element spells
-Uses firewall very well
-Feels great with unleash+projectiles

So basically the gap filler for the build was there all along, I just neglected it because I like unleash on fireball so much. I suggest all of you try it out and add it to your toolbox. It works with %more math, flat damage, and projectile numbers, doesn't require crit or any gear swap to work.

That sounds great, pretty much what I was using for single target levelling so that would actually tie into the build overall really well.

Plus, Unleash has a big ass mana cost so taking that off Fireball can be really handy

It should, otherwise I doubt they'd have it as a corrupt target, it just depends if it functions as 20% increased damage, or 20% more damage.

If it functions as a more multiplier that's huge, if it's just increased then it's nice but not required.
what would you recommend for a ammy anoint?

IDK, I've been holding off since I am looking for a replacement amulet atm.

Probably something like Conservative Casting (-8% mana cost and 20% regen). Mental Toughness (15% regen, -15% cost if not on 'low mana' (expensive, 1 div at least) since mana costs just really get enormous past level 20 skills, and we dont have good way to regen vs kills in boss fights.

There is a 'free' 2% mana on kill gem if you annoint Siphon. Good for saving a div/jewel slot.

Very often we are action capped by our amount of mana, at least that's my experience. We have damage and can math our skills and gear to get more damage, so I would want an annoint to help power the damage engine.

Damage wise Exposed to the cosmos also looks good, since its far away and helps boost our double exposure, which is unique to stormweaver.

Actually 'step like mist' gives movespeed and mana regen. That might be real cool.

Anyways all the good stuff looks pretty expensive, not sure what happened to the distilled emotion market but everything is 1div+ now, so fuck that.

With Ember Fulisade being teched in, what are your gem setups like at the moment for everything else?

Also do you swap around supports or anything for boss fights, or have a setup that works for everything?

I'm working on putting that in the main page.

This is what I have been using for the last hour or so to do relatively juiced T15 maps and bosses very comfortably. Im going to hit the ember with a greater jeweler and gcp's, since it feels great with unleash and buffing it with flame wall for boss fights. The %more modifiers there are a bit crazy, and it hits extremely hard fully buffed. I drop wildshards if I am not doing league content.

Fireball (Arcane tempo, scattershot, controlled destruction, inspiration)
Ember: (Unleash, Rising Tempest, Considered Casting)
Frost wall: (Spell Echo, Ingenuity, Spell Cascade, Conc effect)
Flame wall: (Fortress, Magnified Effect)
Frost bomb: (Strip away, fast forward, elemental focus)
Hypothermia: (Hex bloom, heighten curse)
Sigil of power (weapon switch): (Duration, energy barrier)

Cast on freeze: (Frost wall, inevitable critical, cold exposure, impetus) ((automated exposure just for quality of life, havent found a boss CoF spell I like yet))
Arctic armor: (Glaciation, Deep Freeze, Frost nexus) (anti swarmer/hasted mob tech, freezes anything that gets on you for 8+ seconds).
Archmage
