What level are you and what level is your totems? Our damage scales pretty simply:
- Level of Totem
- Number of Totems
- Number of Gem Sockets

If your damage is low, increase what you can of those. See my video for what boss fights tend to look like. Currently in maps and I'm still just absolutely destroying them.

Thanks for sharing. I played with tons of different concepts with my spirit pool but nothing feels as good as time of need once you get the reduced duration. I guess the only thing I don't like about the build is that it doesn't really leverage too much of the new mechanics. It sucks there is no cool trigger gems for STR builds. It seems natural there should be at least a Cast On Stun- but no such gem exists.

I'm also running clarity on my time of need it cause I haven't converted to blood magic yet, I tried it but felt pretty irritated I couldn't use two life flasks. With more passive points I think I can hit the regen numbers to make it feel better. I was hoping I could work around some of the regen issues with leapslam + conc ground but it just felt a little clunky still. For now the mana based is smoother play for me but I want to revisit this after some more levels and better gear.

I'm currently level 76 me and my girlfriend run an identical build, we made a public map group and it was actually SO fun. I don't like a good number of things about EA but we are having a good time because the social aspect is back. I really missed party play.

But our builds were able to carry a full party of players, we are just destroying these maps. People constantly saying "wtf is that build" lol.

I use time of need -> fast forward -> vitality -> clarity -> cannibalism, depending on where your struggles are you can choose what to prioritize. We don't really have any interesting trigger gems which sucks. Hopefully they add Cast on Stun (or maybe Attack on Stun I guess?) at some point for us to play with.

Have you tried Astral Projection for Shockwave totems I remember it being strong in poe1 or doesnt work? It should.

Shockwave totem won't use astral projection unfortunately, you can socket it but it doesn't use the ability to target minions. What I really wanted is the reverse knockback but I can't find anything with that stat so far.
hey there - i've done a very similar build but i went all the way up for more totem % damage by ancestral (which didn't work) and duration.

the main diff is there's really no reason not to also use Ancestral Warrior totem with sunder + bleed applications for them and the ancestral spirits

I put lifetap in one and use mana for the other and can have both out simultaneously along with the totem ascendancy with duration, they're up forever


i feel like with just shockwave totems you're missing out on double dipping the high +melee

You may be right long term adding more skills into rotation might be needed, for now I just kill everything so fast in t6-t9 range that I don't need any additional skills. I'm thinking I may have the HP pool at 3K to be able to try blood magic again soon, but don't want to pay for the respec just yet so might wait till I have some passive points saved. Once I have blood magic and managing mana is less tedious I might throw in some more skills.

Most welcome. Agree that Cast on stun could be a lot of fun with a build like this. Probably tough to balance. For me, blood magic stopped feeling clunky when I added in Life Bounty and started using a flask with 7 charges per use + Increased life recovery. Made a -huge- difference in the smoothness of the gameplay. There is so little regen in the game relative to casting cost that I feel like trying to stack it is the wrong way to go. Ymmv, as always, but I would encourage you to try out life bounty+flask tech and see what you think.

yup i have 186 spirit (neck+chest) which lets me run cannibalism, clarity, vitality and herbalism. i transitioned from a slammer so i have a ton of defense and nodes, i want to pull it closer to what you've got going on and ditch the top, go full break in asc.

lifetap on ancestral warrior gets me 4 of those and i'm back to full life in 6 secs without a health pot.

i think life gain on hit/kill would be a good filler stat but not sure if it works off of totem hits.

not sure if going up top is worth it or not, you do get 2 extra jewel slots so i have 6 total (each with 18% totem damage + other misc stats)
