As quite some harsh reviews hit your new game, i just wanted to say:

Yes, i should say that this game is amazing. Im having so much fun BUT... the COF change, the way it was rolled out, isn't right. Even if i was given a full respect, its like ok, what do i do now? lighting sucks i can't kill anything, fire same, cold was decent. If you look at streamers (im afraid to mention who because i don't want their build getting nerfed) but some who play the ranger with gas + explosion, they fly through maps 20x faster than the Ice build was able to. They destroy every boss in a couple hits if they dont 1 shot them, ice had to keep freezing and hitting with comet. It's just insane to me, why even have a sorc class with the state the patches are in now? I CRAWL through maps trying to survive with every pack of white mobs meanwhile the archers 1 shot the enter screen and finish T10 maps in under 5 minutes.

I was a COF build, I was having fun, I want to continue to have fun, but I cannot play the game now. I'm not sure how fiscally smart these other guys are to simply say " just sell items ". it was 25k to change 2 ascendancy nodes. I have 0 gold and no way to obtain the massive amount I need to change my build.
I'm not a game developer, I was not crushing bosses with my build. I had some nice clear speed that allowed me to play the game. It's crazy that all we're asking for is some leniency with a free respec. I have a 2 year old and a job. I can't sink another 40 hours into this game with a new char, the only option is to just not play. It's fine if they want to remove some aspects of the game, it's their game, but it's unbelievably punishing to the common man. The change to the triggers just told me everything I need to know about the development team. Lost all confidence. It wasn't even that OP (from a freeze Sorc perspective). Like this is the same issue with D4 that killed their game and their build diversity. Every season a star emerges, and rather then buff everything else around it, they destroy the star, which inevitably forces everyone into the same meta. They rushed to nerf something that wasn't even dominating any leaderboards and probably had a cap on its potential in high maps.
What SHOULD have happened is a bit more thought process such as: - Leave CoF the way it is (or reduce it by a small amount) - Reduce supporting skills damage by X amount that trigger from trigger spells OR If you REALLY need to destroy the CoX mechanic (which is still dumb) they could have: - Reduce the mana cost of some of the BIG spender skills (like comet) so rather then rely on CoF we could build around that skill using it as a standalone in conjunction with other abilities. - GREATLY reduce the absolute dog of a cast time to get comets or other big spenders off. Why the heck do we need 3 seconds or whatever it is to get off a cast? Talk about not feeling good and being a slog!! - this promotes using CoX as a bonus once in awhile trigger but not affecting the archetype itself. Im not saying these are better changes, what I am saying here is the entire CoX mechanic was just play AWESOME FUN. Fun should be priority in a video game. They took a short sighted approach and rushed into a bullshit change, instead of thinking about way to keep the mechanic going strong, and nerfing its output a bit, or finding a way to promote people using the big spender skills without the reliance on CoX. And to everyone making comments like "the sheer number of players using this skills show how OP it was" Um noooo. Y'all really having taken time to consider that maybe the real reason people gravitated to those specs was 1. It was buttery smooth gameplay 2. Felt really good and rewarding to play 3. Was absolutely incredible fun watching crap fall from the sky It wasn't OP at all, and required quite an investment of time just to get going off the ground. Just because some of you weren't playing it doesn't mean you can dismiss those who just enjoyed the PLAYSTYLE and were happy with the mechanic. GGG didn't try to address anything with the change, they just effectively destroyed the entire mechanic itself. This is CLASSIC D4 dev team, destroy specs instead of leaving them/fine tuning and bring other things around them up to promote more diversity. All they did he was get everyone to abandon Sorc and reroll ranger or krips build. Well done. |

literally hexblast ingame video tells it detonates ALL curse on target. so?

Just hit cruel finally having fun and killing mobs. Patch came and completely gutted the build into he ground! Super upset but I had 80k gold saved up and buckled down.... Changed my tree into a fire build using 70k or so gold. Still can't kill anything in act 1 cruel..... A billion fireballs filled my screen, and mobs laughing as they head toward me. Level 50 bricked no gold, no build. Cant wait to reroll and start over. Haven't even seen maps yet.

I was already thinking my cast on shock was kind of slow to build up... but now, I am afraid to blink and miss it.
I don't care if my trigger build doesn't do damage but at least, I want to see it trigger. |

Load freezing is still an issue. I've updated every driver, Windows, etc. to try to fix this issue and it still freezes my computer randomly when loading into a character or zone. In-game music will still play and the mouse will move around in a studder, everything else is frozen and I am forced to reset my computer and try over. It is my understand that this is a known issue, but I have not seen anything from GGG that this is even on the radar. Long time supporter and I just want to play the EA. If anyone else is having this issue please speak up with me.

" This is quite an important question as it impacts how to build the ascendancy if what was written in patch notes is anywhere near how it sounds.
