Constructive melee feedback (Warrior centric)

thanks for the feedback guys! let's keep it going so the GGG crew have something to read during the holidays (assuming they are bored)

Excellent feedback. I am currently Act3 Cruel taking my time and I agree with so many points in this thread. The biggest issue I see with the titan is the inability of armour to actually mitigate damage.

I cannot spec into Giant's Blood yet as I have nowhere near the strength requirement and I feel as if a shield is almost mandatory.

The only upside in choosing the warrior is that it is making me much better at playing the game since the margin for error is almost slim to nil.
Update:

Level 93 now, and I finally found my first greater jewellers orb!! Wow!

Really that long?

I got two before 80 and probably a handful since (88 now)

Agree with Hallways completely.

This game has way too many zones with small hallways, or just simply too much stuff laying around blocking your path. It makes running around quite unfun. Sitting there killing mobs 2 at a time. I appreciate the design of the new zones. Many are very interesting. But constantly having to navigate around rocks or tree's, or getting stuck in hallways or doors doesn't feel good.

I also agree with the things like leap slap, vaulting strike. I am utterly sick of using it to try to hop over some enemies, or get behind them. And it prioritizes the enemies, or I get stuck with a half vault because there's a corner or something in the way. Annoying AF.

Melee feels awful to play also, at least on my Monk because of the lack of reach. I've noticed so many times I'm completely swamped with enemies and I can only hit 2 of them, directly in front of me. It needs more reach. A slightly bigger AoE.

I've noticed a commonality is that I drop a bell and I'm trying to hit it and the boss, and i'm missing one or the other, or both.
Here is your bump. I do agree that the issues and questionable stuff needs some adressing. Not fully as I think the PoE1 monsters being ported is a good thing

I don't mind them being ported -- just their balance/tuning.

If you recall, PoE 1 always overtuned the "league" mobs massively to make them harder for players as leagues often introduced new power creep mechanics.

The problem with them now is these ported monsters are in many instances far more scary than all of the cool new monsters added specifically for PoE2.

Like the giant clay titans slam attacks hit for less than some random white mob with a shield doing a ground glyph AOE on you. It is just not very intuitive.

Under the questionable section, added a commentary on our side of the passive tree.

Watching Alk (twitch streamer, giga titan who is now doing SSFHC monk), the passive clicks, gems, options over on the right side are just so much more fun and interesting.

It 100% feels like the warrior class (maces) was designed 2 years ago for a different iteration of the game.
