Personally, i'm not a fan at all of hammer of the gods. One button to do meaningful damage just feels so uninspired compared to the mechanics piano you are doing with your other abilities to make them effective.

If anything, charged slam was better thematically as the big hit.

they nerf supercharge slam before they really played it.

The nerf in the first big patch was the dumbest ever. I can barely get to stage 2 on a heavy stun to a boss and gave it 20% quality. Utterly worthless skill now. HotG can do more damage and is usable mid map while fighting regular monsters and rares for vastly more damage and all you gotta worry about is a cooldown timer. Not that I want HotG to be nerfed, but they are demonstrating some serious confusion in how best to navigate warrior balance.

This very much feels like the first draft version 0.1 for Heavy Stun as a mechanic overall. IT's a good idea and it has some nice interactions built into it, but it's just such garbage.

You want to prime enemies for stun and it's incredibly easy to just heavy stun them.
There's no way to extend stun duration leaving your combos absolutely wasted if you have to do any movement after a heavy stun, leaving you with the "bonus stun reduction" period making priming a boss for a heavy stun again take forever
Knocks enemies back from you so you de-fact end up frequently wasting time unless you just go straight into a sunder

I made the mistake of building around it while leveling and was already transitioning away quite quickly when reaching maps. Heavy stunning most enemies while clearing was just miserable, and nerfing my stun generation too much leaves me whacking away at bosses forever to prime them for a stun.

I've plenty of stun and most enemies die by time they'd heavy stun from a RS anyway. Leap Slam into a group and Boneshatter is pretty effective, as well, as it always primes enough whites if they don't die outright or there's no aftershock. The knockback is annoying, though, very counterintuitive to make for effective clear. Supercharged Slam, though, utter trash tier skill that barely outpaces just using Rolling Slam after Hammer (which I have exploit armor break from RS's support gem works great). They need to revert that change so bad, or make it so quality reduces charge time, though we also seriously need support gems and persistent buffs built around or to supplement charge skills. Useless skills outside of heavy stun because you just die from attacks (and Sunder isn't much better in regards to survivability, had a rage quit because something hit me 3 times while winding up and killed me, so much about warrior feels good but he has no fucking tools)

I have the problem of automatically heavy stunning white mobs far too often so that I can't set them up for a boneshatter. It's far too easy to do that, especially without any kind of support gem to prevent a specific attack from heavy stunning to fuck yourself.

Before I shelved my warrior I gave up trying to make 2h work, especially for something like sunder where you're just in the animation like an idiot for a fucking fortnite no matter how much attack/action speed you stack. Sure you can dodge cancel out to not die, but then why even bother with the whole heavy stun setup lol. Sunder honestly feels like a complete trash skill to use unless you're on a boss with no other mobs around potentially fucking your day up for daring use one of the combos GGG very clearly designed and wants players to use.
Sunder actually feels fine(ish). The biggest problem with warrior is his lack of tools to make being slow viable in end game because you're simply hit too much and too hard for as difficult as it is to stack sufficient life and armor. Persistent buffs, support gems, even some physical heralds wouldn't hurt, then couple passive tweaks should be all it needs.

Sunder is fineish in campaign.

Its another story in maps, especially as more and more slow effects become the norm
