0.1.0c Hotfix 1

IDK what happened but my game runs like dogshit today and it was fine before. I tested other games like Fortnite and they are running great and even look better.

I'm using AMD Ryzen 7 (8 core CPU) and a Radeon 6600 XT GPU.

It's not a user issue that we can fix. Go look at the bug report thread with over 84+ pages. This is a widespread issues of the game literally freezing people PCs, they've troubleshooted over a dozen different solutions with no fix

Problems with your hardware are your problems. If the game hangs the whole system, there is something definetely wrong with your setup. The unhandled exception will be fixed eventually but the issues related to your drivers / hardware still remain.

Since today it says I have 90+ FPS but when I move around it feels like 10 or less at all times.

As a software engineer from AMTS I know what I am talking about. On properly set environment the user mode programm cannot hang the whole system. So it's definetly not GGG's fault.

They're right to kill it off and if there are other auto builds like that they should be killed off too.

Let me get this straight: oneshotting maps and bosses is ok as long as having to use not 1, not 2, but actually 3 or 4 buttons?
I havent seen ONE video or stream with SRS oneshotting even rares and bossfights take minutes. Meanwhile i've seen dozens of monks and warriors on twitch steamrolling through bosses and maps with bored faces using literally zero effort.
love how u cant say it's a bad change without some special individual going crazy.


Some people (like me) were using the COMD stuff to upkeep duration spells. Which was a nice little utility setup to run as a complement to your main dps.


And now that's gone too.



I get that autoloops can be problematic but this game doesn't scale that hard even.

I tested and i can surely say that this interaction is really fun to discover and to play around with different fire spells to balance it that spirits would not "despawn" instead of actually dying to contribute to CoMD and for them to spawn where you need them where flamewall usually comes in. Instead of working SRS Loop people usually suggest arsonists build which is generally less fun and less engaging - instead of using other skills you forced to recast flamewall which is boring to use manually - i find much more appealing to cast occult spells like Drain essence + contagion + effigy.

My "job" as a "tester" to voice my opinion on the matter so i do.
After sleeping on it, I still feel that removing looping is one of the lamest things you've ever done.

What is the point of this game if not to take tools and combine them together to do cool things.

Seeing the preview where you showed the multiplicative nature of the grenade skill was the first time I felt that maybe PoE2 wasn't gonna be total ass, and now you're showing me that no, it's gonna be total ass, anything even slightly cool that YOU didn't think of before hand, dead.

Why even bother playing?

There has been significant proof that cpu usage is not ok in the current engine implementation. This is something noticed also in PoE 1 which also had engine changes that have caused more minor issues since a long time now.

Kindly shut up and play the game that works for you or apply your critical software engineer thinking outside of work and realise that mishandling cpu management is something very possible in a game engine.
