PoE 2 is boring and not fun

I agree with OP on most points.
However other people have also valid arguments regarding player base split.
I really don't want POE to die, however if new league comes only in February most likely POE will die by that time.

Since this is EA it is subject to change. So I will give a benefit of the doubt that most things will be addressed like:

1. Monster / boss difficulty and scaling. I agree that bosses should be challenged, not with DOGE mechanic but gameplay wise. E.g. Uber shaper is good example. But white mobs, should be white mobs. And player should be feeling powerful in the end. he should not use all of his combos on white mob pack...
2. Inconsistent hit boxes.
3. Loot lose on death
4. Game speed / movement
5. Skill gems. This one will be most tricky in my opinion.
6. Map layouts. Even more attempts (not 6 but like 2-3?)
7. Atlas tree. I really hate the plan of splitting whole atlas into smaller trees. Because now try hards can farm everything and get best loot. POE 1 has balance. You can't spec into everything to the max.
8. Crafting. Some kind of alteration / spam is needed. No one wants to buy N + 1 clean bases and do same thing over and over. I rather have 1 base and work on it unless I corrupted, but that in the end was my choice to corrupt. Not the game restriction, because I got bad mods early on.

Most of the people responding have not even made it to maps. The acts are simple. Mapping is a whole new ball game and it's horrible. Not taking any of the good things from poe1 and adding them to poe2 was a mistake. They also need to understand that poe2 was branded as it would run along side poe1 but that did not work out and they had to split the game. So yes poe1 players would expect a lot more then the trash we got.

I have to also agree about most of it, the starting difficulty for normal/standard game play is FAR too difficult, need the mobs/bosses in act one the feel like you are getting some progress rather that grinding endlessly like the endgame will be, starting of is about learning the character mechanics, tutorials should pop up, this is how this item is used.

NOT EVERYONE is coming into this from PoE1 so more guided help as to HOW the game plays is needed. I tried and gave up on PoE1 due to extreme complexity with litle to no help from community (in-game) without constant snide comments and expecting everyone to know how to play/use items/reroll gear etc. finding PoE 2 so far to be similar, 1-2 positive comments on a question and mostly smartaleck commments about go back to D4 etc.

Ease up the game difficulty in act one by about 50% at least. treid Sorc couldn't even beat the 1st boss, the Miller, create merc have gotten to 11 or 12 probably 50+ deaths, lack of gear, far too many boss adds (maggots, wolves, etc) LIGHTEN up the grind, this is the start of the game not the end, you want people to feel like they are progressing and ENJOY the game, not the incredible, TEDIOUS grinding and length of time to even clear 1 zone, bosses should be doable without a 5 minute fight, START OF GAME again NOT ENDGAME!!! far too difficult at the start, ridiculously hard for the first part of any game!!!
I wholeheartedly agree with everything OP said. To the very last word. It sums up my experience in totality.
True and real brother.

The difficulty of the game is fine, it's not hard.

However, it is simply not fun.

Why does the game have to be so brutal? I just wanna relax and have fun.
I'm upset that POE2 even exists, not only will us POE1 players get less quantity and quality of leagues but the division of players means the game will probably feel very close to a SSF experience for console trade players as each console has its own servers and crossplay hasn't even been a thought.
Path of Exile 2 is perfect and fun.

It always cracks me up when people pick up a game and immediately try to change everything about it. Obviously Path of Exile 2 is not for the OP, or anyone else complaining so heavily, and that’s fine. There are two products, and even if development slows down for PoE1, there’s still a complete game for anyone who enjoys it.

Personally, I found Path of Exile 1 to be a convoluted mess and lost interest very quickly, yet, with Path of Exile 2 I’ve been at war with my sleep schedule trying to steal one more boss before I go to work in the morning.

All that to say, if you’re not happy. Go find what makes you happy.
