Crafting System

Current Crafting System cannot be called rightfully crafting system, as it's obviuosly too chaotical in its nature. Game evolved all around, but crafting system remained chaotical and gambly, with just some new true crafting layers of top of it. there's no reason for good game, to have such chaotical mechanics, unless game forces player to bind to pure and essential game mechanics to grinding, game evolved to true action rpg, but game still posses gambly crafting system which doesn't allign with its development progress. so please see truth in these words and recondition current crafting system.

what crafting system? You cant be calling slamming items crafting...

they essentially deleted crafting in the game and made health required. So good luck making items.
they need to bring back poe crafting alongside affix tier order. They did huge mistake

If crafting is random..isn't that exactly what happens when loot drops? That's not crafting it's just a slower way of getting loot lol
I don't know what they were thinking, the intricate crafting system in POE was the cornerstone of the game and franchise. This new 'system' is just trash. Its beyond regressive. No deterministic crafting just slamming in sequence. Way to reduce the entire game to an RNG loot simulator. POE without crafting and interesting orb combinations (I don't say currency because its competing for that title now) is a game that has lost its identity. When ever developers start removing player agency citing it as increasing accessibility you know the design culture is moving in an 'interesting' direction.

Doing trans->aug->reg... disenchant, salvage, reforge... on controller is tiresome. It is like rolling 1d100 x 1d100 x 1d100, but you have to press 12 buttons at each step.

There is something dissatisfying about filling item with mods. You make no progress, you lose resources which you farmed and sell/disenchant/reforge feels as good as throwing stuff into garbage can.

Maybe I don't understand reforge at all. It looks like vendor 3to1 rather than recombination from PoE 1. If so that is just more of boring inventory tetris. Even if you implement seamless switch between mouse+kb / controller, it will be still boring. I don't remember last time I did vendor recipe in PoE 1 other than "challenge" completion ... wait is it just fucking Horadric Cube???
Agree. While PoE1 crafting at high end was extremely overcomplicated and as unintuitive as possible, basic methods were accessible enough and did the job just fine.

I can understand the wish to make crafting less complex and more accessible to new players, but current "crafting" is a disaster and doesn't really deserve the name. It also hurt SSF pretty hard.

Why they ditched entire system instead of improving it is beyond me...
What crafting system? This is just a thinly veiled gacha system.
