The game has the potential to become a great game. Unfortunately as of now, it is anything but. I have the strong impression the game was designed for a handful of people who play 12 Hours a day.
I don't mind going slow, that's fine. I don't mind having to pull one pack after the other, no zoom zoom. No problem. But the difficulty curve is simply overdone. I got past most of act 1 without problems. But that final boss? Sorry, that's a bad joke. And yes, I did all the recommended, farmed gear, got my Cold res up, got a charm that prevents me from being slowed. (Alternately tested with a sapphire charm). No chance. And quite honestly? I will name it what it is: bad game design. Cheapster design too, trying to make people play longer, by building in such artificial stumbling blocks. The game was somewhat fun before (could have been better) and now it is just tedious and annoying. So, that's it for me. I'll certainly not waste any more money here, as it seems that the "design choices" cater to a few die hards or Ruthless players. And there is a reason why Ruthless mode is not popular in POE1. I am disappointed though, because the game came with a bunch of lies, of things like accessability - which never materialise. I am aware that this is EA, so there is hope the company wakes up and brings the game in an enjoyable direction. Unfortunately it is notable, that insults and name calling coming from the die hard crowd against those who dare to critizise the game, are not reigned in in the forums. Which indicates the company finds that good, and that's where I am done. Any serious company would have some decent moderation on the forums, to curb that. So that's it for me. I'll go and play a game that respects my time and investment. |

I don't know how easy it is but when partied up we all have to fight over the same loot. If there is to give individual loot drops instead of community drops?
I think that would be an excellent addition to this amazing game. |

Why doesn't my character get any bonus from equipping a necklace? For example, when equipping an essence that adds 55, there is no effect after equipping it. It's just like not wearing the equipment at all. The equipment's attribute requirement is level 33, and I'm already at level 52. I hope this can be dealt with as soon as possible.

Love the game so far, however I would love to be able to play on both PC and xbox platforms without double dipping the EA cost. I currently have EA on xbox but I would like to test out the WASD movement scheme on PC too! Is this something that can be implemented?

" I agree 100% I tried minion build, and my minions would be dead within seconds. If GGG is going to give me minions, then let me use them, instead of them having to die after 10 or 20 seconds. Then I have to use Unearth Skill to get more minions, only for them to die in 10 seconds on their own. It's frustrating. Also, not enough "Support Skill" gems are dropping. Another problem that I have is if I want to go as a cold skill Blood Mage, I can't. I am forced to go through minions path nodes and any cold damages around me is not present. I think that GGG should do what they did with the attribute's. Once the path skill tree's knows you are a certain class and also knows the skill gems you are using, you can flip the notes like the attributes to make sure you have nodes to what your abilities are. Like if you don't want to go down the path of minions but instead cold skill, then the tree should have paths for that and not force someone into minions if they are using cold skill. This is just an example. Also, what would be a great idea is that instead of restricting a player out of one direction of the skill tree. The player should be able to take multiple paths around her. Currently, there are 6 paths around the character to go out into. The player should be able to use any of those paths around without restrictions. So if I want to take the node that is on the bottom right that says Projectile damage, I should. and not be restricted to only 1 direction out of the character path tree.. Absolutely love the direction the game is heading.
But for the love of all that is unholy. Please get rid of the atrocious honor (second health bar) system for ascendency. It’s particularly aggregating for melee. I really don’t understand why you can’t just make it similar to how labs were. This whole Honor being a squishy health bar completely takes away anything fun from this part of the game. It’s not that it’s hard, it’s simply frustrating and annoying to deal with. Even if you chalk up my complaint as being “get good”, it still doesn’t evade my point of it being just an awful, uninteresting, uninspiring mechanic. I would much rather have it be longer and the mobs more difficult. I mean it doesn’t even make sense narratively. I’m suppose to be ascending because im a master of my class yet…. It completely takes away half of the point of my build by negating my health bar and putting in a second one that drains faster than the gutters on my house. Please find something better than squishy second health bar. Last edited by scornedfury#4010 on Dec 11, 2024, 1:14:40 PM
