PoE 2 Account Banned for no reason?

I had an old PoE account I haven't used for a few years that I booted back up when a friend gave me an EA key.

Was going fine, up to level 38 on Monk and killed the 2 generator core boss in Act 3 when all of a sudden I was on the login screen and it said the administrator has banned your account.

No clue what I could have done to get banned, pretty sure 3rd party programs don't even exist, I hardly used chat and didn't post anything toxic, no exploits just going through the story...

It's been 24+ hours since I tried to send a ticket but mail-daemon keeps giving me an automated message that "The user you are trying to contact is receiving mail at a rate that prevents additional messages from being delivered. There was a temporary problem delivering your message to support@grindinggear.com. Gmail will retry for 46 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently."

So I'm not even sure if my support ticket is being looked at... meanwhile my friends and guildmates are continuing to play. I'm one of the players who actually like the slower / harder style of the game but this is really bumming me out.

I get that you have alot of tickets, but hoping that things move more quickly... thanks.

Same issue, just after doing the Vaal core boss too.

I just encountered the same issue. I was at level 40, in the 3rd act, smashing through mobs when suddenly the game logged me out. I received a message stating, "Your account has been banned by an administrator."

GGG, what the hell?

Same for me, level 38 same area. Can't post on my other account since it's banned. Super frustrating. I took off a couple days off work for this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Hey, This just happened to my bro. Munkie247#3791. Same spot. He killed the 2 generator Vaal boss and instant ban. Something weird is happening here. Can we get comms on this???

I wonder if your friend gave you the steam/riot early access key that they aren't supposed to give away. If it was a loyalty key, GGG specifically stated in the confirmation message that they shouldn't do that.

Nope, when someone redeems an early access key they also get a steam key. I also didn't give that to anyone. This ban is also happening to people in this exact spot, this exact boss. The chances of us all being banned in the same spot for different reasons would be highly unlikely.

I had just killed the generator boss in act 3 and then I got banned instantly.

So much for that idea. here's hoping for a swift resolution

I found out something else that I didn't realize, it looks like only one of my two accounts is banned.

Long story short, I had two accounts, one from 2012 when the game was first launching and one from 2018 when I came back to play the Delve Season.

I can't remember which was standalone and which was Steam (I think Steam didn't come out til 2013 so I'm assuming the 2018 account is from Steam).

When my friend gave me a key for PoE 2 I decided to link the accounts so I could choose to play on Steam or the launcher and have access to my Steam balance which is a confusing process in it's own right (not sure why it made 2 accounts?).

It looks like my more recent 2018 account is still active, but when I switch accounts the old 2012 account that is the one that is banned which I wasn't using and that's the one that I can appeal on but can't post on forums.

Really have no idea what's going on, interesting that people are having issues in the same zone though :o
