Hello, I'm using these skills atm. Not using archmage yet. I do plan to add second curse soon and I will try archmage when I get enough spirit for it. Just finished Act 2 cruel yesterday.

Some of my current stats:
1306 HP
1711 ES
1391 Mana
303 Mana regen
2130 Spark dps without tempest
3792 Spark dps with tempest

I've been running archmage without CoF lately and the damage is so nutty, I've not missed it. The mana demands are also so high, CoF is just gonna zero you out in no time.

If you have the spirit to run both, it might be nice, but not necessary.

Thanks for all the info, i am at start of act 3 atm and planing to build this around lvl 45 with three dragons as i am already playing spark/orb/mana tempest. I am not sure how i will get the 45 dex requirement but i will see.

Just for clarity as i am a beginner. We want high ES because then we drain our mana later through mom right?
Are you also planing to test CI? What are the requirements for that, high mana pool and reg?
Maximum Life on armor is still a must have? Or do i go for ES no matter what?

And last question, i dont realy understand why murderous intent works through mana tempest. Is it because murderos intent empowers mana tempest which empowers my spark and therefore culling gets passed through to spark?

Hi, I got dex from skill tree (I changed some int nodes to dex until I found some items with +dex)

High ES is must for both MoM and CI. And yes, if you have high ES and MoM, it first drains your ES before going for mana.

For CI, life on anything is useless but if you are not planning to switch to CI yet, it is good to have some life on stuff but not a highest priority if using MoM and having good ES.

I'm not running MoM and CI at the moment because I feel already tanky enough and I got high chaos res but once I feel like I need to get more tanky, I will just switch to MoM. I'm melting cruel act 3 bosses in a matter of seconds right now but I will see how it works once I hit maps.

About Murderous intent. Just taken from description of the gem it should work on all skills that are buffed by Mana Tempest.
"Supports skills that can Empower skills other than themselves, causing skills they Empower to cull enemies"
So this means that if using this support gem on mana tempest (which is empowering skill), it will cause skills that mana tempest empower to cull enemies.

Also I just got another 40 spirit from quest (100 total from quests) so I put Arctic armor with clarity which uses exactly 40 spirit and it increased my mana regen to crazy 350 which is so good for mana tempest.

I still want to try what the herbalist is using with only archmage + clarity but I need to get more spirit for that. But I'm loving the build as it is now with CoF.

You only need 100 for archmage + 10 for clarity. If you wanna run a trigger too, you need 170 total, but I have been fine without the trigger spell tbh.

Your initial post seems to be broken atm. Earlier today it was fine but still quite confusing, since it wasn't clear on what to run atm.

I am stuck at the end of Act 3 atm, because I can't kill bosses and even normal mobs take ages...

Dear Herbalist, is this build still strong/viable after nerfs? I don't want to give up on my Ice Stormweaver, but I also don't want to get bricked.

shock sparks made more dmg, so tilted after respec =/
