Put to one side the endless crashes. It's just too hard for me anyway. I am not a tryhard, just a guy who wants a fun game. This is not it.

I am giving up on a game for the first time in a long while. Dying over and over to the same boss over and over is just not a good use of my time.

Congrats to those who are enjoying it - can't see how GGG are going to make money on this - the playerbase will just die out in the next two weeks.



It sucks that you've had that experience. There's a lot of knowledge required to make even the campaign play like GGG intends. Most of the seasoned community don't realize how valuable their experience and knowledge is, so they can't understand your perspective.

You can be running around doing 15% of the DPS and have half defenses you need without even realizing it. Maybe they can add an NPC to each town that looks at your stats and makes a comment about your strength when you talk to them. "It looks like your defense is good, but you'll never make it with that offense." "You're too weak to make it here." "Not much will be giving you trouble will it?"

Additionally, I think a lot of new players aren't using the trade website. It's pretty much mandatory unless you really know what you're doing. I've played I think 5 characters through the campaign and all of them got enough exalted orbs to go snag 4-5 pieces of gear from the trade site.

I agree with your sentiment on new player retention. If GGG intends to keep a substantial percentage of first time players, they'll need to find some way to communicate expectations and/or make some changes to the game design. Here's to hoping that's the direction they go in. Adding an in-game browser for the trade site would be huge.

cause you know 80% of players gone and every streamer checked out..yeah game is in a great place.

Honestly I have a feeling, that devs didnt play the game. The biggest fale of this game is that 1-3 fast low lvl white mobs can kill 90+ lvl mage, they just jump to mage and hit him, mage always stuck, cant run, cant cast, only die - there is no point in this, there is no game in this.

No you're right. POE2 has a lot of things that need some attention! A lot of things suck about it and it's hard for me to believe GGG played it before releasing early access. My response to the OP was just to give some info that's valuable to any new player.
I'm with the OP on this. I took a week off but now can hardly bring myself to log in. So many issues. But, I'll say that I got to end game and it turned me off. I really want to like it. I love the idea of running maps and "tuning" them. But, there are just not enough waystones. I can hardly play because there are no drop. And I have the passive that increases it by 30%. It's funny they released a stash tab for waystones because I would NEVER be able to fill it. The work to set up the maps was tedious but I might have been willing to continue if there was a way to do it. No waystones. They just don't let you play the game. The 1-shot kills by random enemies is also bad. It's like everything is programed wrong. Again, that does not matter because I can't advance any more.

Oh well.
i bailed on day3 of this ea of a game. it's like they wanted to slap the face off poe 1 players.

Die in 2 weeks? Its over 100k 2 months into an EA and the playerbase has been around for over 10 years lol

Its no one's fault here that you suck at the game and have no skill at all.

I suggest sticking to my little pony, since stuff like this is too hard for you. Don't feel bad though, a lot of people suck at video games like you do.

To think POE2 is even remotely difficult is mind blowing. This has to be probably the 2nd easiest ARPG i've ever played, short of Diablo 4 - home of the overpowered everything. Even hardcore in this game is laughably easy, and you can pause the game...so there's basically 0 challenge here. I'm not sure what you're going on about.

I am out probably until full version comes out as well. Not even going to bother to look at all the small patches. I clocked 180h, did all endgame without farming the bugged Arbiter, some of my friends 40-300h. But there isn't much else to be done. Streamers will do streamer content, aka 'races', because they have time and that's their work.

But nobody else that is sane will do it. I am starting to wonder if buying early access was a good idea at all if the game will not change drastically.

But hey, RMTs are happy, so GGG is also happy, so China is happy because they can earn money on their scamming practices that are not prosecuted :)
