Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

They knew about this problem even before EA starts, whatever the support wrote on the other page. But I get it, it'll take time/money and it's just for a minority of players. This question comes up from time to time and the answer is always "oh yea we have to fix that". I think the players with a non cable/fibre connections will drop out of the game and in the end GGG will say "no one needs predictive mode, so we're not going to waste precious time on this". |

sometimes it takes a while but sooner or later regular Network spikes into the 1000's happen. this only happens in this game. wanted to test some things for 0.2.0 but it seems i can just scratch that |

Hi everyone,
After months of dealing with lag stutter and trying every solution I could find, I finally found something that worked. Hopefully, this helps someone else. My internet connection is managed by my ISP’s “optimization” feature, which automatically selects the best frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz) based on conditions. Because my PC is close to the modem, it often defaulted to 2.4GHz. At times, everything worked fine, but other times, I experienced severe lag stutter. To fix this, I accessed my modem settings and disabled the optimization feature, allowing me to manually set separate SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I then changed the 5GHz channel to 44 and connected my PC to it. This immediately resolved the issue, and my connection has been stable since. I believe the stuttering was caused by my ISP frequently switching between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. While I can’t confirm this for certain, separating the networks and manually connecting to 5GHz made a significant difference. If you're experiencing similar issues, this might be worth trying. |
