[POE2] Game crash when changing zones
Same here.. sick of game crashing non stop entering new zone and launching the game....

So far I haven't had any problems with any Crash. After finishing act III and starting the cruel difficulty, when I try to enter the first city after the boss it always crashes. It only happens with one character.
Is there any solution to this? Has the company said something or just ignored the problem? Thank you very much. UPDATE: I have made several attempts. If I teleport to the city (normal difficulty I have the city unlocked) there is no problem. If I exit and try to enter Clearfell it crashes and closes the game. The PC doesn't freeze, it just closes the game. The problem occurs only when I try to enter Clearfell through a door. It only happens in this city. With teleportation there is no problem. Happens with ALL characters. Last edited by Sieerra#6354 on Jan 9, 2025, 3:23:34 AM

As of today, i cant even play the game. reinstalled nvidia drivers, verified game files, tried changing all kinds of in-game graphics settings (too many to list). As soon as i portal, game will crash and lock up the pc. mouse moves a bit stuttery, but as soon as i try to bring up task manager, pc crashes. gotta hit that reset button. absolutely love this game. Sad i cant play it anymore.
4080 super. 7800x3d, 32gb 6000 ram. fingers crossed it gets fixed eventually... |

I hope that everyone that encounters this crash also leaves a negative review on steam explaining this issue.
This is day 35 of this crash. The entire GGG team should drop everything and focus on this potentially PC bricking "bug" before "balancing" builds that people like to play. Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

" its the 7800X3D CPU with the latest windows 11 update. only permanent fix is to rollback to a previous version of windows 11, but if you cleaned installed and can't rollback like myself then a temp fix is to launch poe launch task manager click "details" under left side hamburger menu right click on poe.exe and select "set affinity" uncheck CPU 0 and CPU 1 and hit okay right click on poe.exe again and hover over "set priority" choose realtime and hit change priority button now you can play without it crashing on a 7800X3D. you have to do this every time you launch the game but its only a few mouse clicks. if it hangs when changing zones just alt+tab in and out of the game and it will load. " This is just misinformation. This has nothing to do with your OS. This has nothing to do with your hardware brands. For example I'm on Windows 10, Intel CPU, NVIDIA GPU. " lol my brother in christ this fix works for me and it will work for him just like it has and continues to work for hundreds of other 7800X3D players just like us. now if you have different hardware then thats on you to find the fix but those instructions are legit, and by the look of your recent posts on this page you may have bigger issues than youre vidya gaems crashing. good day, sir. |
