Bug Poe2 - Legacy of the vaal quest

I had the same issue. Go to the area where you killed the chimera and look for a stone staircase. Go up it a little bit and the entrance will appear.

Stuck on this quest as well. Killed the boss hoping I could access Jiquanins Mechanarium but nothing happens. The only other exit is to the trial. I'm stuck, cleared the area and the boss multiple times.

(EDIT: 3rd time clearing it after resetting instance, I got a different map layout, killed the boss and the entrance opened)

I couldn't place the first small soul core, had to reset the instance before it allowed me to progess.

yea the matter is that there is no way of getting the large soul core back because its not suppose to be droppable while u have the quest but if you did in a different map the item disappears.

progressing to the new part "return to infested barrens and activate the stone altar" you can turn it but the water wont drop.

need a fix asap. GGG PLEASE

Travel to the location again where you get the orb for the altar, when clicking the fast travel node hold control to load a new instance, this fixed it for me.

Its the large soul core new instance and killing the boss again does not drop it

i had to kill the chimera 4 times before it showed up... but at least it showed up... i guess just kill the chimera until the entrance actually opens.
