Massive Latency Spikes

Same for me. Some additional info:

I'll have 25 latency spiking up to 200-300 every 2 seconds like clockwork. Then, I'll log out of that character and log into a different character and suddenly no spikes: A solid 25. Then, if I die on that character with no latency problems, I'll resurrect with the same latency spiking the first character had.

This is something happening on server-side. Some setting, leak, or corruption that makes the game completely unplayable. Fix your game, GGG!

Alt tabbing out of the game and coming back in makes me have lag spikes constantly.

Disabling/enabling internet helps but is by no means a solution.

Yeah same here, usually it's playable early in the morning when people are in work but I have to work too so not really a good option.
I have found some corelations between going to town and dying. It sometimes fixes it but not really.

As GGG said in one of their posts here. They removed the networking with the prediction option. So your client constantly syncs with the server.
The problem is when it's over 1M clients doing the same thing. I can't imagine how the server handles it.

So until they fix it, we really can't do anything. But it's not your PC and not even your connection.

First I thought that it was my wifi in the flat. Cause I'm running bridged AP and I have PC connected via cable to the second AP. So I ran cable from my PC across the entire thing. Did not solve the issue though.

In my case, it's spike up to 14-20k every 30sec-1min. It's unplayable and really annoying.

Same. Every 2-3 seconds ping jumps from 20 to 150. Started happening today. Tried different servers but it doesn't help. When i ask in chat others dont have the same problem.

I found a fix for this Issue, hopefully works for others too.

Just die somewhere and respawn from checkpoint. This fixed the issue for me.

Same here on PS5.
First 6 hours were fine.
Came back after dinner and I am in an infinite 3 second loop of 20 to 1000ms latency.
This has been like that for 26 hours now.
Wish I could get a refund and just wait for the full release.
This is pretty bad for a betaversion.
But hey, at least their cosmetics store is up and running 🥴

Dying and respawning, teleporting, restarting, downgrading graphics, changing servers doesn't change anything.

Same here. But for some reason if I play on personal hotspot of a phone I dont have the same problem
