Massive Latency Spikes

This is not in anyway related to your hardware or settings, and happens to a wide variety of players, with different machine and internet configuration.

This is likely due to the absence of the Networking Mode setting that was in POE 1, where you could change the networking mode between Lockstep (which is what we have now in POE 2), which checks every move you make with the server and maintains sync, and predictive, which predicts the outcome of your actions and resyncs periodically with the server.

There is a clue that the setting will be available if you look inside the production .ini game configuration file, as the setting is there but feels disabled for now.

Hope we'll have some news about it very soon from GGG as the game is simply not playable.

Same issue. Randomly appearing latency spikes all of a sudden. Sometimes it helps to start another instance of same map, other times doesn't. Everything might be smooth and then after death it randomly begins, and all your progress is basically wiped, which is unpleasant to say the least, since the zones here are huge.
Am having the same issue - changed every setting in game possible- even locked my FPS to 70. Definitely is not a pc issue as the in game graph shows everything is stable except network which goes from 25ms to 400ms randomly spiking every 3-4 secs. I live in the same city as the gateway and have a 400mbps connection. I do not face issues when playing another other live service games. Tried Wifi/Wired and even 2 phone hotspots - same issue. Makes dodging in a game that requires it to survive boss encounters almost impossible to play. Please fix this!
This is constant also on PS5. Latency shoots from 10-11MS to 300+ within seconds, making it simply unplayable.
Had the same issue in the evening yesterday, was fine later at night though. Right now experiencing it again, sometimes creating new instance works, but then it starts again. 20-400ms latency jumps every second.
Blows my mind they removed networking mode. So any folks are having issues and the game is borderline unplayable. Why remove this?

I've found that sometimes, it also fixes itself after teleporting to town or basically just exiting current instance, then going back and dying to respawn at the checkpoint... it's totally frustrating to know there is no current fix for this... how could they have missed something so important like this? anyway.. hope they realize this soon enough and fix it.

I get spikes from 30ms to 300 upwards
Poe is the only game/program that has these issues. I tried to use a vpn because people told me it could work but nothing changed.So far if i am lucky i get 10 -20 min without latency lags and then it will be a wild ride
