POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
" It's not 100% true that it's a hardware problem / software conflict. I have an older windows version installed next to the current. With the older one, I have no problem. I started to experience this with poe1 after I made a fresh windows install with the latest windows version. |

So far on my side i think i have found a workaround :
0. not sure if it helps but i have removed the last update 24H2 1. connect to POE client and go to options 2. disable "multithread" option 3. log in 4. enable again multithread Not magical but seems to work until it won't maybe :D |

Dear GGG. Can we please get an update on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Multithread is the cause of hte issue. so disabling it fixes the issue, but it can happen any time you load a new zone, and many zones only get 30fps on the best cpu's so it's unbearable to play, becomes very choppy and an eye sore literally. Causes a headache for me. So have to keep multithread on. I just keep reloading until it stops. It's clearly a windows issue with multithreading. but i'm sure will get fixed eventually.

" I tested on win 11 24h2, 23h2, windows 10, no, its not a windows problem. Every time something load, your CPU load goes bigger than 100%. 147% was maximum that I saw. |
|
yea next year maybe

" For me it was playable without multithreading except boss fights, that sucked a bit, and also towns were very laggy, like 20 fps, zones itself were quite stable 60fps, sometimes dipped to 30 when too many effects on bosses. Using 7800X3D. Eventually it started to get annoying playing with low fps when my pc is more than capable to handle more performance heavy games. Currently waiting for a fix. | |
Guys, I refused to believe it but since fresh installing 23H2, all the freezes or game crashes are gone!
I was on 24H2 before since it was rumored to run better with a 9800X3D. Remember to backup your data to another drive when reinstalling Winshizzle. |
|
" Started happening to me on 23H2. This is not a Windows issue. |
|
" Screw that, i refuse to reinstall windows, i dont care who's fault it is. |
