Brand new 9800X3D User here reporting in.

Crazy spikes to 90C when i see the grinding gears or loading new zone.

Then PC stutters and freezes.

No recovery until i hard reset the PC.

This only happens in YOUR game.

Latest Windows 11 24H2.

Im not playing POE2 Again until you fix it. I dont want to risk my CPU for your buggy game.

its a windows issue, there is nothing they can fix tbh you need to install a fresh windows 23h2 iso and make sure not to update. This isn't the only game impacted by windows 24h2. if you wanna wait it’s gonna probably have to be a windows update.

This is incorrect ! All other games work fine with the latest windows update !

you are incorrect, this has been happening well before poe2

I PM'ed Timothy a few days ago with my Diag. Still crashing on load screens. Getting really frustrated as I'm sure lots of people are including GGG team. Any ETA or update on fixes?

They just now fixed it with ubisoft like dec 1st it doesn't mean it doesn't apply with poe2 lmao, use your head.

Also if you revert to 23h2 and are still freezing, its likely a different issue entirely. Hardware overclock, software conflict. Besides that 23h2 is the fix. If you dont believe me than keep freezing your pc until you have to buy a new one idgaf. I'm going back to playing now
So, I found some unpleasant moment with the processor load at the moment of freezing. When starting the game, the task manager and the lasso process were launched and at the moment of freezing I managed to see something that shocked me and that, as it seems to me, can kill the processor. Namely, the processor load somehow rose above 100%. At the moment of freezing, the processor load was 146%. The question is, how can this be? After seeing this, I deleted this game so as not to risk the processor and wrote to GGG support. I will wait for their answer.
+1 freezing on loading screens, cannot exit or force exit. Have to hard reset PC
Also happens on some boss fights, complete seize up of PC.

9800X3D + RTX3080

Have tried numerous fixes. Nothing permanent. still having issues.
Every day, I check this thread hoping for a response from GGG, but all I find is disappointment.
It's strange, considering this is a significant issue that seems to be affecting many players.
Same issue, 5800X3D & 3070 TI. It is so frustrating that this happens. Having to press the hard reset button on my brand new PC this many times is deplorable, it breaks my heart.
