Hard crashing PC locks up

Stopped playing due to the anxiety of this crash. On top of a game thats pretty frustrating. yeah nah.

That's why, once again I ask anyone who encounters this problem to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner so that others will be made aware of the issue.

Game is still crashing for me.

Windows 11 24H2
OS Build: 26100.2894

AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D
64gb of RAM DDR5-6000
Nvidia 4090
obviously using a m.2 ssd

My PC was updated to Windows 11 24H2 Thursday (I did not intend this). I started having this happen immediately after the update. It has happened now at least 4 times every time I believe I have tried zoning into town/teleporting back to town. Every time my PC pretty much locks up - I can move my mouse around in slow motion but cannot change any windows. Alt+F4 and Ctrl+Alt+Del does nothing. Only thing that fixes it is a hard shutdown. Heck - I even started unplugging peripherals in an attempt to see if that would make a difference.

I played for 3 or so hours on my husbands Lenovo legion laptop this afternoon. It does NOT have Windows 11 24H2 yet. I went back to playing on my desktop and within 30 minutes, another lockup.

I am trying DirectX 11 graphics first before I try and roll back the windows update.

I work in IT/software, I am not your average PC user so I am open to being a guinea pig.

I'm eagerly awaiting the devs next response or update!

Having a blast on the game on one of my pcs, but having the hard crashes on my good pc,

GGG we need a fix, its only happening on poe 2

Well, this is interesting.

This thread, if memory serves, was 417 pages when I posted about my first crash today, an hour or two ago. Came back to post another hard crash, and not only are both of my last posts gone, this one is on page 414.

Second crash today. I7. Nvidia 3070. Windows 11. All updated.

I called guy a clown in parallel thread for blaming 7800x3d and my post got deleted after a minute by a janitor. Man, if only they cared as much about troubleshooting their own game.
