Hard crashing PC locks up
Just downloaded and installed the new update and the game froze on startup. Didn't even make it to the login screen. I also use Process Lasso to assign 12 of 16 threads to POE. Prior to the patch, this method made it so that even if POE locked up, I was able to properly restart my PC or End Task through the Task Manager.
However, with this lock up post 0.1.1, POE froze but prevented me from restarting my PC through the start menu. If this is a sign of what the new patch did to the hard freezing issue, then it has gotten worse. MUCH WORSE. The freezing issue seems to be getting much worse with each patch post their return. |

So do i get this right?
They still ignore one of the biggest game breaking bugs? I paid 30 Euros and i am not able to play this game for over a month now. It's a disgrace. Last edited by adornos_erbe#0069 on Jan 17, 2025, 1:40:35 AM

Just roll back to 23H2 & no more crash at least now.
Even crashed occasionally w/ PoEUncrasher on 24H2. Strongly recommend to 23H2 if u have crash problems. |

My question is why do we have to find work arounds???to play a game? Decrease our security?

Actually had to install hole computer again, had bluescreen after hard freeze.
In my Opinion, GGG should never had done such a big patch, they didnt test it properly. Now many of us having big trouble with computer... Maybe GGG should thing about a reset to older version and patch new stuff one by one |

The patch made it worse. What the hell is going on? Why are they silent about this.

One of the workarounds for the 24H2 problem is to turn off auto HDR in the control panel. If rolling back to 23H2 is a no-go for you. I've removed all crashes (except for the occasional DX12 D3D issue) on my system, and they all seem to have been Microsoft Win 11 issues.
