Hard crashing PC locks up

Should I just try and get a new CPU with more cores? I've always been ignorant of this stuff but this horribly optimized game caused me to slowly learn some things lol.

Nah man, just wait it out I guess. I'm just setting the game down and looking for something new till they put out an announced fix for this.

Wtf? What CPU do you have now? This issue is not your CPU's fault. A new CPU might save you from crashes but it will likely happen regardless.
But, if you're upgrading because of the performance... sure I guess. GGG is not known for their optimization.

Don't do that just for POE.
No matter how many cores your CPU has, the game will just load all of them to 100%.

For sure many are frustrated with this issue (I am) since we spent money on this game. Even with a budget, mid range or premium build PCs (All my friends playing POE with different builds) we all are experiencing this issue. We followed every suggestions posted here but still, game freezes. We dont want to sacrifice/brick our PC just for this issue. I guess we just have to wait and stop playing POE2 until there is a fix. This is my system

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d
MoBo: Gigabyte Aorus B650 Elite AX Ice (Going to upgrade to B850 soon)
RAM: G Skill Trident 2x16gb 32gb DDR5 Ram
GPU: Gigabyte Aero RTX 4090 OC

More cores won't help. My crashing only started after I upgraded my cpu for the express reason to play poe2.

As soon as I get a crash I will likely revert to the old method for this reason. Lets see what happens. On to day 3 without a hard reset...
