Nobody reported bricked components so I advise you to stop spreading this idea.
I would add the same to people saying that GGG should stop pushing balancing fixes to focus on this issue.
Thats the worry isnt it? Do you want us to wait for damages.
Again cursorTarget#1174 and Pyroga#2822 keep downplaying that POE2 is the only game in recent history that has crashed our PCs in the most reproduceable, consistent, and severe manner.
I'm not downplaying anything. Other games had this as well. This thread reports multiple different kinds of crashes.
What it's not reporting is bricking components.
What it's reporting is emotional responses from individuals that are scared because their computer gets unresponsive and they have to hold down the power button.
That's just the factual information we dispose right now.
GGG is working on it, they're collecting DxDiag, they already posted about the 24h2 Windows version that fixes it for SOME people.
If you're scared, based on your emotional response that it's going to damage your hardware, don't play, it is that simple but don't make links that are not proven as of right now, it is also really simple.

Im throwing in the towel here on my desktop 9800X3D 4080 super. I disabled SMT in the bios and got 5 hours no crash. Crashed at a loading screen and had to reboot. No video output upon rebooting. Had to unplug all the peripherals and hardware from the surge protector to get video back. I’m done til there’s a fix. I have a laptop and a ps5 but it’s a shame my godly pc just can’t even enjoy the game

brother everyone here were neutral, hopeful, and were looking forward to GGG's response couple of days ago. You two are the only ones insinuating us overreacting. Again the two of you HAVE NOT replied to this argument and actively ignoring that this is the only game thats doing this

Congrats to the devs on a successful launch. Maybe they’ll fix this issue in 2025 since the studio is about to go on Christmas break

Just report them. They are both trolls. Either that or trying to get that year end bonus from GGG. Even in the best case scenario where they are just misguided, one simply cannot comprehend probability and statistics, the other does not know the basics of electrical and computer engineering.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.

Adding my own situation as im currently having the Crash on zone causing pc to lock up
Started on saturday (played and streamed all friday with zero crashes that werent part of mass disconnects)
Windows 11 Home
Ram 16GB ddr4
GPU rtx 3060ti 16gb
CPU Rysen 8600X 6 core 3.8ghz
Playing on an MSI 1440p monitor using DLSS DLAA, had more frequent issues when NOT using DLSS and DLAA.
if the known issue isnt fixed by friday ill make a follow up post after ive upgraded my ram to 64gb ddr5.
Edit: Random added Note. when i play overnight I almost entirely DONT experience crashes, if theirs less then say 300k people on steam roughly i seem to have zero crashes for HOURS.
Update
i updated to 32gb of ram and this issue no longer occurs.

People are surely neutral QQing for GGG to fix a bug that they are working on, depicting them as lazy and not caring.
What do you want? A post every day stating "yup guys, still working on it". That would be so helpful lol. Hopefully JayTwoCents video will make them post more!
