Love this game and totem builds.
Cant wait to try ancestral totem with sunder. Have you tried that? I feel my dmg lack now. But iam.only lvl 20. Got a good 1 hand mace last night with + 1 melee skills and added fire dmg to attacks. Last edited by paraply#3083 on Dec 11, 2024, 2:47:00 AM

Whats a good chance to bleed in this build ? should i stop investing into it at some point ?

Just hit level 65 and updated the guide with what I have so far. I'm doing pretty well midway through Act 3 Cruel and blasting pretty much everything and the build is feeling very nice. Might need some more survivability at some point but I think that's just because I've been unlucky with getting Cruel base gear and life rolls.
" Yeah I just realized that I had 2 extra points in the guide, thanks for pointing that out! After leveling a bit and see what the build can do I think the best ascendancy path for this build is going to be is 4-5-1-2. The armor break from Anvil's Weight just seems too good to pass up and I haven't had any issues with block chance so far so I don't think those nodes are necessarily mandatory anymore. Thanks for the ideas on the passive tree though! I definitely will be going for some of the nodes you went for at some point but I wanted to rush the totem nodes first since early leveling kinda sucks with totems. " Currently at lvl 65 I have 45% chance to bleed on hit (30% from lacerate support and 15% from tree). I am planning on getting some more bleed chance/damage nodes but I think 50% bleed chance feels fine enough and I don't necessarily think yo would need more than that. Probably better to dip into attack area dmg or survivability at that point. I'll see how it feels later on. " Yeah, this build struggles early on but should pick up once you get to Cruel. This build is very passive-heavy so you need a good amount of levels to make it start feeling good. There's probably some good way around this with pathing in the tree but I haven't tested with it yet. Also no I haven't done anything with ancestral totem yet and I don't have any plans to. I think shockwave totem is really strong so I will be continuing to use that. " I took the 25% increase mana regen in Act 3 and then took the 10% chaos res in Act 3 cruel. " I did not have many issues with Act 2 boss when I did it. He does not move around much so he's pretty easy to have your totems sit on him and just avoid all his damage. If you're struggling that bad you can either A) get some more life on your gear and/or B) dip into some of the +area attack nodes on the passive tree. They buff shockwave totem damage a lot and would probably help early on. I don't suggest using bleed until you have enough +area of effect nodes to warrant using concetrated effect. Until then you can try using Martial Tempo in your totems so they get pretty good dps increase too early on. Overall though you just need to be patient and manage your potions properly on act bosses. It will get better once you start to get to Cruel. Last edited by Karved#1420 on Dec 11, 2024, 11:48:58 AM

At what lvl did you do first trails?
|
|
" I don't fully remember but I was close to 30 when I did my first Trial of Sekehmas. Trial of Chaos I was about done with Act 3 or starting Cruel I'm not sure. Usually if you are 5-10 levels over the level of the trial you should be fine. This build does pretty well in both trials since totems let you straight up ignore some of the mechanics and is pretty safe for the honor mechanic too. |
