jonathan just confirmed in the interview with ziz that you can at any time simply click escape and it pauses the game and you just click "teleport to last checkpoint" and you are out this literally defeats the entire purpose of hc playing if you are ever about to die to a boss you simply can leave the fight crazy that GGG actually thought this is good mechanic? whats the point from playing hc if you know you will NEVER die to boss

Not that I've ever cared about HC because one server hiccup is all it takes... I'd rather play a rogue like.
With that said tho I alway thought it was weird that people in HC just accept that logging out to save their character is legit play... |

I find usually deaths are in a blink of an eye, so hitting ESC will usually be to late for me.

I think that cheesing mechanics to defeat the purpose is hc is nothing to brag about. Maybe add a tag to hc characters "saved by logout X times". I rarely play hc. It's just not something that I enjoy much anymore, now that I'm older and slower.

Seems really lame since they pushed the pause on logout mechanic for so long only to say now that you can log back into a safe zone... I don't play HC though.
But how are the big HC streamers taking the news? Are they relieved or disappointed? |
