Might be the easiest game ever released!
I mean at this point lets just call it semihardcore.
I don't want to see devs remove the pause feature to prevent sweats cheesing the game. There are no shortage of reasons why a player would need to step away from the pc for a few minutes.

If they dislike the cheesing they could black out the pause screen only in hardcore to stop players seeing mechanics frozen and/or put a cooldown on it. Even then I would rather not see it touched much at all.

I don't think anyone is going to feel any accomplishment beating a boss in that manner nor would anyone respect a kill done in that way. If they want a cheap and tedious win they can have it.

This goes beyond hardcore and only like 2 other posts itt are smart enough to see it. I'm literally new and can see the issue. If a developer can not threaten a player with war of attrition content or fair deaths, then they will have to resort to unreactable/off-screen one shots and unfairness.
How is this good? The developer was quite adamant about preserving combat integrity in interviews and this just goes against that. Couple that with the fact they think the early-access will be unbalanced and are looking for feedback, how are they suppose to get good feedback if it's coming from logout shitters reporting everything that isn't one shots is too easy? Mind-blowingly stupid.

i know what you are saying, but attrition might still work a lot better than poe1.

in poe1 you can log out 5 times and then still kill the boss and get the loot. in poe2 if you log out once you lose the entire fight and if it was an atlas node you block the node completely, if you keep doing that you will brick your atlas and have to reset the entire thing.

so logout isnt free, you avoid the death but you are punished for it in the campaign by the boss resetting and in endgame there is a massive punishment of failing the entire encounter.
