Did you also change the render Type in the Bottle to D3DMetal and enabled eSYNC?

I had exactly the same issue - but after following these steps i was able to get to the log in screen.

Also - i used a fresh bottle for POE1 - skipped the DX for modern games and obviously the PoE Install itself. Changed the bottle type to Win10-64 bit.

Yes i did follow the instruction. It still not work with DX12. Yet i succuessfully get into the game main screen by change the setting to DX11, use DXVK & E-SYNC. Strange

Fixed. If anyone encounter my problem, just install the DirectX for modern games.
On the native Steam Mac Client is Poe2 available for download. Someone already tried to test it?
Does anyone know why my poe2_production_Config.ini is empty? I started the poe2 with the D3DMetal + ESync then got the crash.

When I want to modify the config from Vulcan to DX12 the config is empty content.

Can anyone share the full config file here for refer?

Hi ya’ll

I was able to start the game (well get to the homepage with the countdown) using the newest crossover on an m1 Mac.

I installed the launcher into a standalone bottle, running on D3Dmetal and E sync

I used the same workaround as the first POE to change the default resolution from Vulcan to DX12.

After downloading the client and launching once, the game crashed for me as well. I went into my document->games->then the POE2 folder and opened the config file. From there you navigate to where the resolution options are displayed and replace “Vulcan” with “DirectX12”

After that I ran the game again and it loaded right on up to the Home Screen.

Remains to be seen how gameplay will look and run but there’s some amount of hope that it just may work!

Thank you this fixed it for me, I completely forgot you also had to do this for the Poe1 client version. Cheers bro
Looks promising to run on mac with crossover. Use the same settings that you install poe 1 with. You can use the installation they provide to install poe 1, install all the dependencies, then install the poe 2 installer in the folder and run it. Insert

[DISPLAY]
renderer_type=DirectX12

into the empty poe config file and select D3Dmetal and ESync in the advanced crossover settings!
Change Vulkan to renderer_type=DirectX12 worked for me well.

How to find:
Crossover -> Bottle Actions -> Open C drive
then:
drive_c/users/crossover/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/poe2_production_Config.ini

Or you can open Finder, click CMD+Shift+G, and paste:
"
~/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/
First time you use Crossover, it will ask access for various system folders like Download, Documents etc. If you declinded that, you might have issues since that's where Crossover/PoE2 installed my files.

HDD -> Users -> UserName -> Documents -> My Games -> Path of Exile 2

I have some pixel errors after starting in the loading screen.
Afterwards the login screen is displayed as normal.

Anyone else have something similar?
I have the bottle set up but when I run the launcher it just opens and closes. The game is "installed" as far as i can tell
Yeah I got it working, same as the others just changing the ini file to directx12 running on m4 pro. But the guy above is right, the preload is also up on Steam macos.

Donwloading and crossing fingers!
