Path of Exile 2 on Mac with Crossover 24?

I just tried to launch poe2 client from the standalone launcher, instant crash.

Settings:
D3DMetal + Esync + Bottle (win10 & wind11)

Same. Is this because the executable is unavailable until the launch tomorrow?

As for CX or Whisky support, chances are it will work just fine using Apple’s GPTK v1.

The POE2 standalone installer runs fine under GPTK 1.0 (with the exact same setup I use to run POE1), and downloads the entire game. But launching the game itself under GPTK goes fullscreen to a black screen, changes the cursor to the standard POE one, and then immediately crashes out with a unhandled exception on page fault error.

Are we supposed to be able to launch already and get the queue screen like console players are?

Hi ya’ll

I was able to start the game (well get to the homepage with the countdown) using the newest crossover on an m1 Mac.

I installed the launcher into a standalone bottle, running on D3Dmetal and E sync

I used the same workaround as the first POE to change the default resolution from Vulcan to DX12.

After downloading the client and launching once, the game crashed for me as well. I went into my document->games->then the POE2 folder and opened the config file. From there you navigate to where the resolution options are displayed and replace “Vulcan” with “DirectX12”

After that I ran the game again and it loaded right on up to the Home Screen.

Remains to be seen how gameplay will look and run but there’s some amount of hope that it just may work!

That sounds good!

Which operating system did you use for the bottle? I've never used Crossover, but I'd love to play the game on my M3 Pro.
same, instant crash poe2 standalone client on crossover

Even if i replace "Vulcan" with "DirectX12" in the config file, it shows the game mouse then still crash on my m1 pro macbook.
Did you also change the render Type in the Bottle to D3DMetal and enabled eSYNC?

I had exactly the same issue - but after following these steps i was able to get to the log in screen.

Also - i used a fresh bottle for POE1 - skipped the DX for modern games and obviously the PoE Install itself. Changed the bottle type to Win10-64 bit.

Edit - just remember i also manually update Crossover to GPTK 2.0.

So for me it worked like this:

I took the PoE1 bottle and switched to Win 10 64 bit and everything else as described by AldyOne.

Yes i did follow the instruction. It still not work with DX12. Yet i succuessfully get into the game main screen by change the setting to DX11, use DXVK & E-SYNC. Strange
