POE 2 Key Regional Pricing on steam change
" Ah I see now... xD |

Pretty much everyone I've seen that says "You lost a loyal supporter" has no supporter packs purchased. Either you've only bought points for some reason or you vastly overestimate your financial power.
And then there are those who claim to have only, purely wanted to support GGG out of their kindness I guess, lol. You wanted to buy $60/$100 supporter pack with the regional pricing and now you can't. It's perfectly normal to want to get the most value out of your money but don't go around saying otherwise. I fully support regional pricing. |

" I spent $70 between late 2020 and early 2021 when I could start buying points and not having to worry about the cost so much. Despite the supporter packs being the best value, $30 a pop was too much for me, so I bought $5 here $10 there and so on. Then they made the harvest manifesto, something I completely disagreed with, and said until we could craft the items we needed to make our ideas work so we could do the content we wanted to do reliably I would not spend another cent. I kept that promise for nearly 4 years despite wanting more stash tabs. I decided I wanted to try PoE 2 in EA and saw they made crafting slightly better so thought sure buy it, which I have, but they've again antagonized a lot of people, myself included and again I will not spend a cent on GGG again. The last time was over the crafting vision, this time over their conduct. So this is likely final for me. Last edited by ElectroStatic#2433 on Dec 4, 2024, 10:57:21 AM

" The # of players from parts of the world affected by regional pricing dwarfs those in the US and EU, and that's why GGG has different prices for RU and Brazil here on their website. They might not have the individual financial power of the whales that go crazy over shiny pixels, but they're just as important of a market. Regardless, a professional response to something the community regards as important is a courtesy important to fostering a healthy respect between GGG and its customers. The fact GGG has failed to do this, repeatedly and across several topics, should actually bother the most fervent of GGG's supporters more than new arrivals who'll be gone before POE2 even releases. |

The product name that you want to buy is self-explanatory "Supporter Pack".
The game will be TOTALLY FREE. At least try to change your mindset to: If you like the game or dev, and you want the game to be a successful ARPG and we all can have fun for years to come, do SUPPORT THEM! If they change the pricing strategy for EARLY ACCESS, it's totally up to them. It could be a mistake or just a marketing strategy, (i personally don't care), because my mindset is to SUPPORT the DEV. If at the end, the Early Access Key is too expensive for you, you can just WAIT, no one FORCE you to buy the EARLY ACCESS. |

" GGG handled this terribly, as with plenty of other things this past week, and that's part of the issue - it makes it hard to support them. Actions speak louder than words, and their actions show that they don't care - not about you or your support, whether you're new or whether you've thrown endless money at their MTXs. Also the game is not free. It will be free to try in about a year. |

" A very priviledged take. A lot of players, including me wants Early Access because of alot of my friends was able to buy it and play and I can't just because I was waiting for my Salary. Yes, this is FOMO at its worst and being Left out really really feel f*cking bad. Say what you want if im being a Kid or immature, but They owe us an explanation at the very least. I took a large loan just so I can upgrade my PC and play this game and now that it's out of my budget due to this Sudden Unexplained change, I am f*cked out of options as a Mininmum wage earner in Philippines and getting another loan will put me in the Red further than I can manage. |
|
"Respectfully, shouldn't your priorities be elsewhere then? A loan for a PC and you can't afford the game after that, really? Each to their own but I don't know man. Oof. |
|
" You would be surprised by just how many people live literally paycheck to paycheck in less fortunate countries, and never have the opportunity to build any significant savings with their earning power. |
|
" Another priviledged take. Also you didnt read it properly, I only "Upgraded" my already existing PC so I won't have performance problems with the game. the Budget I had is planned down to the last cent. Is it my fault that the Salary on my country is so small that I had to go out of my way to get a loan just to afford stuff? let alone video games? Also who are you to tell me what my priorities should be at? are you my dad? I prioritize my Mental health on entertainment so i can get away from the Daily hell of my 12 hour minimum paying job. Am I not allowed to enjoy myself and play an Awesome game? and now I'm suddenly barred from this game just because of what? Unexplained price increase on a 3rd world $12 Per Day pay country? When there are 1st and 2nd world countries with lower prices than ours? That's F*cked up if you asked anyone. |
