What makes you rage quit?
" It's a very easy fight. slow attacks, obvious indicator, what else do you want more? Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

I think the only thing that makes me rage quit is getting crashes, particularly RIGHT after I open a map, or in the middle of an interesting fight.

" Did you not read my post? Valerius is a damage sponge. I don't want to spend an hour dodging his BS; I want to be able to conclude the fight before fatigue becomes a real issue. He's tuned for players who trade for gear that generates DPS which leaves mine in the dust. And don't tell me to "gid good;" I simply have no interest in chasing multi-divine gear. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

"Bruv, since when do you need to trade for 1-2m DPS? Lol? | |
" Simple fix, Have you tried to play a proper build? Something's wrong with your build if you can't tank the small hits and also need 1h to kill the boss. And no you don't need to play trade for that Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid on Oct 17, 2024, 9:37:05 PM

bad crafting rng would probably do it. Although more a sad-logout than rage-quit

" Its why I abandoned upgrading crew members and just spammed short route , low risk boats Id let the risk meter get to 50% and send em off iff i lose a crew ... just kill em ... That fight sucked .. boring and long ... id rather buya bunch of lvl 1,2,3 sailors and let em die whenever they are captured... I could buy more send off the boat and go make as much as the pirate was worth ..what was it 50k? not even worth the repetitive stress injury of fighting him for 30 minutes... like so much of PoE now ... Why Bother.. the risk to reward is not there ... Last edited by Jitter912 on Oct 18, 2024, 12:28:10 AM

With a proper build the fight would take less than 3min, but for those who use some scuffed zpds builds it's no surprise that the fight "sucks"
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Honestly when 1-2 million dps is considered low. That or the Goblin troupe.

" [Removed by Support] I can tank the small hits fine; the stupid waves in the first two phases are actually the worst*, followed by the waves in the final phase. The issue is that, the fight takes too long for me. My build is just fine for all the content I do play; I always channel up the Verisium deposits to max. But this guy, any damage I do to him doesn't even register on his bar, except in invisible increments. For all you snide jackasses who think it's "easy" to get millions of DPS, try telling me how, without playing the trade game I so despise. And, lest we forget, Admiral Valerius isn't "aspirational content;" he's thrust upon you no matter what content you're comfortable playing. Could I save up 50k Gold to pay him off? Would you? I can try to fight him, but it's a tedious slog with obnoxious mechanics. But part of me feels obligated to at least try to save my crew (yes, I've been a roleplayer longer than many of you have been alive). I don't judge you merchant prince followers of build guides; I'd thank you not to judge me for eschewing trade (save access to the Guild Stash), as I enjoy the game just fine, except for garbage like this. ='[.]'= *Yes, I know about the safe spot. =9[.]9= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/ whiskers =@[.]@= boggled / =>[.]<= annoyed or angry / ='[.]'= concerned / =0[.]o= confuzzled / =-[.]-= sad or sleepy / =*[.]*= dazzled / =^[.]~= wink / =~[.]^= naughty wink / =9[.]9= rolleyes #FourYearLie Last edited by Cameron_GGG on Oct 18, 2024, 12:54:21 AM
