well thats how it used to be...3 months. ever since poe2 came along leagues lasted 4 months instead which is fine i suppose, but any longer would be just bad for the game retention. nobody is going to hang around and play the same content for more than 4 months

So what? We have 4 months leagues since quite a while now and it didn't really hurt the player retention a single bit.
They also didn't mentioned anything about the current leagues duration yet so I don't know where the concerns are coming from. Sounds a little bit like fomo with a touch of obsession that the next league can't come fast enough.

really? you didnt see the player retention on necropolis? lol ok. anyway i'm not gonna argue with you or your alter ego anymore. i just hope that at least 1 year from now the full poe2 game will be ready for everyone..not because i am obsessed but because after teasing us since 2019 it would be the right thing to do to finally give it to us.

Considering early access is paid and a separate PoE 1 stream is coming up, why wouldn't they? Early December is very reasonable in my opinion.

Cause it was a pretty mediocre league? We always had those ever so often.
Looking at the other leagues and even just the current league numbers are more than fine despite the longer duration of leagues.
If anything it the longer dev time is likely even helpful for better results of their product.
