" No. No. No. YoU dOnT uNdErStAnD. I run maps, 100's of maps. I use Alchemy orbs and chisels when I have them. I even tried using some scarabs the other day. No matter what I do, I only get like 4k gold per map. I have grinded all league and have my town maxed out, but I constantly run out of gold just farming and running all 3 map devices. Stop telling me to use titanic scarabs or run T17 for gold, that makes it too hard. Also stop telling me to get better gear or follow a build guide, I like playing the niche build my cousins brother showed me in 2013. No, I will not use lower level farmers or run less mappers, I expect maximum profit, regardless of how weak my character is. " If the "optimal" thing to do is to use lower level farmers and other workers, this system is already severely flawed. I have full rank 10 farmers, spent millions of gold rerolling for it because that's the obvious thing to do. That's like heist gear having worse stats if it requires a higher level job, it would make 0 sense. This is simply bad game design, nothing else. The town is a complete mess, way too punishing and way too grindy. Losing workers shouldn't even be a mechanic that exists in the first place, if you get a full team of rank 10s you've earned them. So you should keep them, not lose them to a pirate, a "1%" chance or "finding a new life on an island" or "dying in a bar fight" lol Faustus is the only good thing that should go core in this league, and make him a full-on ah with all items in the game. | |
" Only doing Alch and go to farm for gold is very silly. I ran Harbingers, Rituals, Alva farm strats on 8 mods corrupted maps with delirium and I would get between 30 to 80k gold per maps, T17 just running the simple and cheap scarabs or 8mods corrupted delirum maps strats give between 70k to 120kish gold. " It's called gold sink. Not even a big issue with how much gold the game throws at you for almost literally free. Hiring cost and chances to lose NPCs should be much higher imo. Or maybe the town going on a riot starting to degrade building level if you keep the town empty lol. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" So you're running tier 5 maps? An unchiseled alched red map without special scarabs will give you more than 4k. If you juice it up and can comfortably play it you'll get even more. Also: the 1% seem to be an "average" value. If you put in maps with very rippy mods and hover over that map, you'll see that it may be 4% or even more for a mapper to die. Bird lover of Wraeclast

My big beef with this system is that the 1% label is definitely not 1% and trying to keep up a stock of mappers who can actually run good maps. My challenges have me at 124 completing T14-T16. I only run 1 map device ever and always 4 L10 and 2 L9 mappers. In getting to that number I've lost 14 T9/T10 mappers. I definitely think I've had some bad luck here and have even lost 2 in a single set of maps put into the device. But I've also gone over 40 with no deaths. Still ... this has to be 1% per mapper per map. So every map has like a 6% chance to kill a mapper or something. I suspect these are actually 1.X that are rounded down for display purposes and the real total is somewhere between 6-10%.
I do wish they took the mapper deaths out of the equation altogether and just upped the gold costs per map. The exhausting part of this process is simply finding enough L10 mappers through recruiting to be able to run T14-T16 and get a decent completion percentage. I have never minded the more gold = more profit portion of this. It's the time and uncertainty that is involved in needing to reroll an L10 mapper that completely turned me off of this part of Kingsmarch. Alternatively be able to recruit an L10 worker directly for a fixed cost whatever that may be. 200k, 300k, whatever. You could even add this as a 3rd option for reroll at the recruiter. In summary: - No deaths. Period - Higher per map cost per tier of mapper. AKA - raise from current costs. - Directly purchase T10 workers in addition to rerolls. | |

" I only played the last week of affliction. But atleast on par, and weve got over a month left. Boat league is OP by any standard.
