Did Bex return to GGG?
it wouldnt surprised me if she left due to poe community being toxic and she just had enough GGG for a reason left reddit permanently becuz the community kept bashing them over anything

I distinctly remember a post Bex made about the sourness at times from trying to interact/reason with the community. As well as Chris talking how he feared for his/the staff's safety at times as well.
Sometimes people say that 'League's' community is way more toxic, I sorta doubt it...
" i d say its very easy to rub players off the wrong way. temp league players care about POE if and only if it affects their enjoyment of the current league. as a std player, i would say the outrage from std is not without reason. the exalt/divine switch was a big issue. there was many ways ggg could have handled it to ease the transition. iirc, what happened was chris came out and said something along the lines of "players should have diversified their investments". like wtf chris. you have direct control over the value of everything and now its our fault we get upset when we literal thousands of exalts drop in value to around 10% of what they once was? there are other things that ggg did like how they handled alt quality gems and how they retroactively changed some cluster jewel nodes. what happened to legacy rolls? i ll stop there else i ll just go on all day about stuff i've already mentioned before. tbh standard players are the easiest group to keep happy. dont touch our gear/currency. no one cares if standard players are OP. " I'm not an economist by any stretch of the imagination, but I believe "value" in currency is set by those who believe in that value. Most times, it's because of rarity, obviously; however, I always wondered that despite that divine/exalt change if ... only if... people playing the game still placed more value into exalts thereby negating that forced change a few leagues ago? That would have been the biggest LOL of all time: GGG says divines are more valuable and the community says.. NA brah.. exalts still are ! And.. tbh here, I've played a few leagues after that change and exalts drop only slightly more often than divs and when I say "slightly" it more like next to never at times. I'm prolly not making much sense here, so hopefully someone can paraphrase my words a little clearer :) **** I Started the "HERE HERE" Movement

"Source? Or are we calling a very small minority from Reddit "our community" now? "Lol. Lmao even. Not even close baby.
Exalts and divines have the same drop rate. Point of fact, there's basically a coin flip every time one or the other drops to determine which it is. Every exalt that drops was one coin flip away from being a divine, and vice versa.
Anyways. On the Bex issue: there's a reason many games are switching from a single public Face Person the way Bex used to be to a Community Management Team that posts and CM's via anonymized "Community Manager" accounts. It takes very few truly bad apples to spoil the bushel in this case. One single truly toxic interaction can ruin weeks of wonderful memories, and Bex worked this job for years. Do I think the toxicity is what drove Bex out? No. I think she wanted to move on and broaden her horizons, and found a way to try and do that. Do I think the toxicity was a factor, and is something Grinding Gear's community team thinks about and shapes their policies and procedures around? Very much so. This community in particular is one of the nastiest. cruelest, most relentlessly spiteful and toxic ones I've ever had the misfortune to be part of. The way this "fan" base treats Grinding Gear should probably be illegal in some way. If you don't think that sort of relentless putrid awfulness wears a person down? You've clearly never worked a customer-facing job.
"Are you still salty because your straight up awfully written "suggestion" on character genders was poorly received? This community is one of the better ones. But then again I have a pretty thick skin so your mileage may vary. Still, let's not overexaggerate.
Hah. And we have proof right there.
No, I'm not "salty" because my desire for selectable character gender was received poorly. I knew it would be, and was frankly surprised to see as much traction as I did in the first few pages. I am hardly the first trans person to note that this community in general is highly prone to transphobia. I'm "salty", if you want to use that word, because this "community" and its constant, neverending need to spew endless, endless, endless awful, putrid bile over literally everything Grinding Gear does, as well as everything Grinding Gear doesn't do, makes it almost worthless as a place for people who want to actually talk about cool stuff in and around the game to do so. It is actually, factually impossible to talk about Path of Exile 2 on this board without being trolled into oblivion by people who seem to exist for no other reason than to express their violent discontent with the mere existence of another Path of Exile game. [Removed by Support] It is exhausting, I'm honestly surprised Bex handled it for as long as she did, and I would not be one single iota of surprised to learn that the dev team and the community management team have withdrawn from places and spaces like this one because they simply cannot deal with the relentless maximum-intensity hostility and negativity this place puts out every second of the day. "you disagree with me, this is proof that I am right" jesus christ numbers...
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Am I the one that brought up a completely unrelated topic out of nowhere specifically and solely to make a cruel dig at another player, ArtCrusade?
No. I am not. |
