damn I'm late to a book thread. Oh well. Gonna start The Poppy War by RF Kuang soon, but I'm also trudging through Heretics of Dune (jesus Herbert was a horny old Frank). Just did Song of Achilles since my GF bought it and was taking a few days to get around to it. I'm an old Iliad fan so it wasn't exactly a tough read. Gay as fuck though which was lovely. Anyone who's seen Troy will be hardly surprised by this.

I was amused to see how many players are 'unprepared' for Shadow of the Erdtree. I'm one of them; the game doesn't force you to get as far as Mohg to enjoy it. They gave me a big open world to fuck about in, I sure as hell did just that. And I've no real interest in rushing through the game just to play an expansion in which I've little narrative interest Which is why I probably won't rush to get it. My backlog is ooooogleh.
