damn I'm late to a book thread. Oh well. Gonna start The Poppy War by RF Kuang soon, but I'm also trudging through Heretics of Dune (jesus Herbert was a horny old Frank). Just did Song of Achilles since my GF bought it and was taking a few days to get around to it. I'm an old Iliad fan so it wasn't exactly a tough read. Gay as fuck though which was lovely. Anyone who's seen Troy will be hardly surprised by this.
__ I was amused to see how many players are 'unprepared' for Shadow of the Erdtree. I'm one of them; the game doesn't force you to get as far as Mohg to enjoy it. They gave me a big open world to fuck about in, I sure as hell did just that. And I've no real interest in rushing through the game just to play an expansion in which I've little narrative interest Which is why I probably won't rush to get it. My backlog is ooooogleh. __ How many times does PoE have to 'die' to stay dead? Maybe they should have the Marauder go at it. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

been a while since i engaged in books. at most i listen to audiobooks but have evolved to just listening to podcasts. tho at times i tend to like reading video game lore. grim dawn has a ton of notes scattered around the world and some dude compiled it into a pdf and i havent even finished that.
